Friday July 31, 2015 - Moving Day

Today, we are moving back into our house. The buffed floors look good.

But I am tired of living out of a suitcase and not being able to dress how I want.

My birthday was about 10 days ago. I was watching, I am Jazz, and I was thinking what my birthday would have been like, if I was a child today.

Thursday July 30, 2015 - 6 month eye exam

I really like my Tuesday outfit. It was cool and the top hugged by body. The long hemline gave it a dress look with leggings under them. I usually do not like horizontal lines, but this top worked.

Over the past four years, ever six month I must get an eye exam. I have developed glaucoma, which my father had and my brother has.

Tuesday was the first time I went in Femboy mode.

The secretary who has been there over four years said hello and had me fill out a new form since my last appointment was in late 2014.

I filled out the form, signed it and sat down in the waiting room. There were five people ahead of me and nobody seemed to notice me. I went into the unisex bathroom to check on my looks and add some lip gloss.

I sat down back in the waiting room, surfing the net until my name was called. I was the second person called and went in to have a battery of tests and answer some questions.

Everyone treated me the same as always and most people did not use any pronouns. There was one male technical who constantly used sir. That stood out to me but was not a problem. We will see in the future when I present as a women full time.

I had a good repore with the first doctor and I freely talked about some eye issues I was having. But basically I still have 20/20 vision with my glasses and my blood pressure is 110/80 which is good.

I had on eyeliner, mascara, blush and eyebrow pencil. I wanted to see how wearing makeup would impact the test proceedure. The first doctor added drops into my eyes. I had to dab the excess water without rubbing the eyeliner and mascara. So I took a tissue and pressed it along the bottom of my eyelid to force the water over the top of my eyelid and onto the tissues without rubbing or washing off my makeup. I did get some makeup on the tissue, but not much. I was hoping I did not have my makeup running down my face.

I have noticed over the years, how women with eye makeup on handled touching around the eyes. It was cool to have that problem and try the wipe away the excess water without smearing my makeup.

The next technician I had was an older lady who had to run some tests. She liked my hat and told me to take my "cute" hat and glasses off. It was nice to get some kind of compliment. I did not feel ignored but I know understand why some women wear an unique piece with each wardrobe. This creates a talking point and a possible compliment.

I mentioned to the tech that I was worried about my makeup rubbing of during the test. She stated that she understood and will work hard to not get too close to my eyelids. She did accomplish that.

The next tech was the only male in the office and he was the only person to use pronouns. He used only male pronouns of  "Sir" and "him". That was OK with me but I did not notice any of the other staff refer to me as "Sir" or "him". They either used my first name or just talked with me with a reference.

In the future, when I notice that, I am going to ask why that person used a male pronoun. I want to start a conversation about how I am presenting and why they would use male pronouns. This would be a positive interaction and a point for education for both of us.

I was moved into the second, rear waiting room which was full. I found a chair and sat down. There were older men and women, a teenage boy and two young pre-teens.  The young children looked my way and then continued to play and everyone else looked and quickly moved on.

I worked on my phone and searched the web. Eventually, everyone was served and I was the last to see the second doctor.

She was much more distant that the first doctor and I think that is her demeanor.

I mentioned to her that I liked her shoes. She had a nice open toe 3 inch heel. She smiled and said thank you.

After 2.5 hours, I checked out with an updated prescription and some samples of drops for dry eyes.

I had no trouble and felt very comfortable at the office. All day, I felt normal and comfortable out in public. These days make my non-femboy day very dysphoric.

Wednesday July 29, 2015 - Electrology Session

It's been three weeks since my last clearing. My whiskers were long, so I cut them down before I got to the clinic.

My electrologists welcomed me by saying, "Hello stranger". I told her that three weeks was a long time but my face still did not need a shave. There were long whiskers, but they were so far apart, they were barely noticeable.

I went into the restroom first to freshen up and get a breath mint. Being in close quarters, I wanted to make sure I looked good, smelled good and no bad breath.

We talked about a lot of things that included laughing about Donald Trump and crying about Sandra Bland.

Out talking made the time go faster. It still took about 70 minutes and the upper lip area still makes the tears flow. I am now use to how she moves across my face, clearing certain sections. The upper lip is last section.

After we finished, my electrologist recommended a session every two weeks, even if for only 30 to 40 minutes. Because at 3 weeks, the hairs grow longer and therefore stronger. This makes them harder to eliminate.

I can not believe I have been going to her for 7 months. I think I will definitely be finished by the end of the year, which will make it 3 years of electrology. It seemed like yesterday I started in Dallas at E3000. During my first trip to E3000, it took 17 hours to clear my face. Now after 3 weeks of growth, it took only 70 minutes.

I almost can not remember what it was like to shave everyday.

After I paid, I went into the bathroom to put on my makeup. Since my makeup time with my youngest daughter, I have added eyeliner to my routine. I need to work on my eyeliner skills. It is fun learning and practicing makeup.

I was finished with my session and makeup around 11:30 am. However, I got a business call and did not leave until almost 1 pm.

There was some confusion at the hotel I am staying, (construction work is being completed at the house) so I had to go back and get a new set of room keys. While in Femboy mode, I went to the front desk and used my male name to get a set of new keys.

The lady at the front desk did not blink and gave me a new set. The last time she saw me was in boy mode.

Also, I had no apprehension going up front to get a key. This is one reason why I am ready to be in Femboy mode 24/7. I am confident enough to go anywhere, even places that know me in boy mode.

Its my new contract work that keeps me from going full-time. At least until June 2016.

Tomorrow, my post will be about my eye appointment.

Tuesday July 28, 2015 - Femboy Day and Electrology Session

I was so late this morning. I overslept and had to hurry to get to my 10 am electrology appointment. So I did not get the write this post early in the morning or late Monday night.

Because I am living out of a suitcase, I did not have an outfit for today, so last night I bought a nice outfit from Goodwill.

Each item was on sale and it was a really cute outfit. I bought a pair of black leggings and an oversize black/white hoodie with mid length sleeves and a front pouch for your hands. I added a lace blue shell to provide color across the chest.

I was a very comfortable outfit and highlighted my shape.

I added a necklace and two bracelets. My earrings were blue to match the shell top and I added a few rings.

Not only did I go to my electrologist, but I had my semi-annual eye exam from the same doctor I have been using for years. This was my second time, I went to a business that knew me in Boy mode that was going to see me in Femboy mode.

Tomorrow is will talk about what happened. The eye appointment which took 2.5 hours was very interesting. Especially with makeup on. I wanted to see what an extensive eye exam was like with mascara, eyeliner and blush on.

Monday July 27, 2015 - Tired

I had a great time in CT last week. But I am so tired because I was in constant meetings, both business and social from 8 am until 2 am the next morning. I feel all 59 years today.

The business part of the trip is very promising. But the best part was visiting friends and family. I came out to my cousin but did not have the time to come out to my friend.

It's so liberating to tell people and get their acceptance.

Today I am resting. Because of some water damage to my house, I am staying in a hotel until Wednesday.

During the past week, I was off my calorie counting and eat poorly. Also, I have not exercised in a week and I feel it. I can still wear my clothes, but they are getting tight. I hate to get on a scale.

So I am back on my eating schedule and will exercise at the hotel tonight.

Tomorrow I have an electrology appointment. It has been three weeks and I do not have many wiskers left. But I ones I have are long. So,I will cut them back for tomorrow.

I also have my annual eye checkup tomorrow. I am going to go as a Femboy. They only know me in boy mode. I do not expect any negative issues and it will give me a chance to educate.

My only problem is that most of my women clothes were packed away. This will give me an excuse to shop for a nice summer outfit, later today.

Sunday July 26, 2015 - Too many Transgender shows on TV?

The Huffington Post ran an article that asked the question, "Are there too many transgender TV shows?

My answer is no.

Sure there are good and poor shows and some of the shows are very similar. But for decades, we have been shown in only a negative light.

So how can there be too many positive shows? Even if the show is poorly done, its this trial and error period that will create long running shows and bring our community into the general community.

This is the early experiential period. We will reach a point where transgender characters are part of the cast within regular shows (Doubt, Fall 2015). These charactors need to morph from a stand alone transgender character to well rounded embedded character who happens to be transgendered.

Whether drama, comedy, science fiction or horror, transgender characters will emerge as regular characters that deal with a special issue(s).

Its at that point, we will have reached a milestone. I do believe, we must never stop demanding access into the mainstream. Even if we personally do not want to go mainstream.

Saturday July 25, 2015 - Watching ladies at the Casino

Last night I was walking the casino floor with friends and business associates. I made a mistake and had some coffee at 11 pm. I normally do not drink coffee. So it kept me up until 3:00 am.

During my walk, I was watching what women my age were wearing. There were plenty of young ladies in heels and short skirts. But at my age most of the women were in pants, pull over tops and sandals.

Very few of them were in dresses with even low heels.

I did get a hazy picture of one mature lady in a pretty dress. Her style was similar to mine.

I liked her dress. The color, hemline, sleeves and plunging neckline gave a youthful sexy but mature look. She had on some cute black mules that highlighted her nice legs and feet.

She was not wearing much jewelry. I would have added at least a necklace, bracelet and ankle bracelet. But maybe that would be too much jewelry.

Her hair was short and cute because it showed off her cute face. She did have bangs. For me, I like shoulder length hair. I would pull my hair back and add some bigger earrings.

Overall , I like her look. It was amazing to me that so few mature women had that look while out for the evening.

Thursday July 23, 2015 - In Connecticut

Yesterday, I was planning to meet with an old friend and come out to her. I was able to meet her but we did not have enough time. I did not want to rush, so I did not tell her. I was very disappointed.

I had not seen here since the Atlanta Summer Olympics in 1996. I was running late when I got to her house. I am sure she would be accepting of Susan, but for me, just telling a non-family member would be a giant mental step forward.

I left her and headed to Connecticut. I will be here until, Saturday and back in Atlanta Sunday. I plan to keep blogging during this time.

Wednesday July 22, 2015 - I told my cousin and it went great

I traveled to New Jersey, on my way to CT. Flying into Philadelphia because of a cheap airline ticket, I decided to spend some time with a college buddy and his wife. I met him (I will call him Steve) during the first week of school and we because instant friends. We were in each others wedding and even though he went back to Philly and I stayed in Atlanta, we get together every  year or two.

He and his wife took me out to lunch. While waiting for our food, Steve's wife complimented me on my nails. She told me that they looked better than hers and were well groomed. She turned  to Steve and asked why he does not get a manicure.

He laughed and said that he needed them rough because it helped him when scratching his butt and private areas. We all laughed knowing that is Steve. Going to college in the early 70's, Steve and his Philly friends were very aggressive toward women. I found that different and funny. I do not think that same behavior would be acceptable today. I know it would not be to me. One example of their behavior was "cat calling" women.

However, I was smiling and very pleased that another women recognized my nails and complimented me on it.

I then complimented our waitress on her eyelashes. She said thank you and explained that she use to wear extensions but the glue took out her natural eyelashes. So she uses an eyelash serum to help her natural lashes grow and an extender mascara.

I do not know if Steve's wife picked up on my new found attention toward female grooming, but she joined my conversation with the waitress on her eyelashes.

I left Steve's and traveled to New Jersey to see my first cousin. I arrived at around 6 pm and we stayed up talking until 1 am. We talked about our families and of course that led to our time growing up. I only have two first cousins and they are sisters, two years apart. We all grew up together.

I am the only one of my siblings to have children (3) and she is the only sibling to have children (3).

Our discussion turned to one of our favorite second cousins, Jeffery. I may have mention this in a previous post, but Jeffery was a couple of years older than me and came out in 10th grade by wearing women's clothes to high school. It was a big issue in our small town and in our family. He was kicked out of school and his father kicked him out of the house. My Dad was President of the School Board and tried to help my cousin. But he ended up on the street ans eventually died of AIDS in the early to mid 1980's.

He was one reason why I went deeper in the closet. I saw what happened and did not want that to happen to me.

While we were on this subject, I told my cousin that I was like Jeffery and I was and still am a crossdresser. I went on to explain what being gender fluid was. She was very surprised but was pleased I told her.

We spent the next couple of hours talking about Caitlyn Jenner, how my family feels about it and how I handled it over the years.

I told her I was telling family first because I want my family and then my friends to know that they have known a "crossdresser" for years.

Polling shows that once someone who knows a transgendered person becomes more accepting of our community.

So I am doing my part to help myself and the community.

Today, I am having lunch with an old girlfriend and I am going to tell her. This will be the first non-family member I am sharing my gift with. I am hoping she will share her secret with me.

Tuesday July 21, 2015 - I am traveling in boy mode today.

Tuesday is usually my electrology day. I now have a session every two weeks. Today would be a session under the two-week protocol.  However I am traveling to CT.

I am in boy mode because I am traveling with a group. One day it will be in woman mode, but not today.

I stayed at an airport hotel. As I asked the front desk about the van to the airport, the lady at gave me a very nice compliment on my finger nails.

She said my finger nails looked very nice. I told her I work hard on them and she said she could tell.

I smiled and said thank you.

It feels so nice when people notice those little things you do. It is what ladies do among themselves and it made my day. I can not feel a little Susan is still out while I am traveling today.

During this trip I will not be able to dress but I hope to get a chance to shop.

Monday July 20, 2015 - My birthday

Today is my 59th birthday. Where did the time go?

I am not doing much for my birthday because we are moving to a hotel while some work is being done on our house and I am travelling to CT, Tuesday morning, for six days.

This morning my youngest daught came by and surprised me with a birthday gift(s). She bought me those shows at Payless.

Wow, my first Susan's birthday gift. I am so happy.

I had to try these on this morning. They are so comfortable and cute.

Below are pictures of the other shoes she bought me.

Sunday July 19, 2015 - My cure for the Saturday Blues.

Yesterday, I was dysphoric. I was feeling my gender anxiety all morning. So, I decided to do something about it.

I wanted to spend some time on me and get in contact with my inner Susan. I started around 1:30 pm..

  1. Bubble Bath
  2. Body Shave
  3. Lemon Facial
  4. Nails
  5. Gym

Bubble Bath
I have a large bathtub in the master bathroom. One of the reasons I bought this house was because of this tub. I filled the tub with warm water and added some Avon bubble bath and Skin So Soft liquid. I sat in the tub and relaxed for about 15 minutes. Just taking in the warmth, fragrance and inner peace the bubble bath gives me.

Body Shave
It use to take about 45 minutes to complete a total body shave. But now with age and a small body (60 lb weight loss), I can complete the shave in about 20 minutes. So I started with my hands and arms. Then I move to my upper torso. From there, I move to my toes and work my way up to my waist. I am so use to this that I can move fast even though I take my time in areas I know can create a shaving nick due to the wrong positioning of the blade.

Once I finish shaving, I moved from to tub to the shower. I use the shower to make sure any hair clippings are washed off and inspect my body to see if I missed any hair.

Lemon Facial
After drying off from the shower, I completed my lotion routine and them put on a nice cute lounge wear dress. I was feeling so good. My dysphoric  mood was finally gone. I was in touch with Susan.

I decided to complete a lemon facial. So I took two lemon slices and squeezed out the juice. Then I rubbed each slice, one at a time over my face and under my neck. Once my face was full of pulp, I let it sit for a few minutes. Once it started to burn, I washed it off and added some liquid Vitamin E to my face. Now my face felt so smooth

Nails
Next I spend some time on my finger nails. Only one nail was short because it broke last week. The other nine nails were about the same length. I like the current length, not too long, slightly over my finger tip. I removed my clear nail polish and shaped my nails. Then I polished my nails with a new coat of clear polish. I was watching Youtube videos about makeup while taking my time and working on my nails.

Gym
Finally, I went to the gym around 5:30 and completed 75 minutes on the elliptical machine.

I wore my green based outfit to the gym. By now I was feeling good. I felt cute and feminine with a nice smell from the Skin so Soft. Of course the sweat from the workout will replaced that smell.

I enjoyed my workout with my cute outfit, nice metal disposition and smooth body.

Once I finished, I got back to the house, showered and eat dinner.

By the time I finished, it was around 8 pm. I felt so much better. I decided to buy a transgender fiction ebook. I spent the next few hours under the covers in a nice set of soft pink pajamas, reading my new book.

My new book

Saturday July 18, 2015 - Feeling dysphoric today

I am feeling dysphoric today. I am sad and uneasy. I think its because the last few days have been so special with my youngest daughter. The makeup and clothes session and the shopping.

Yesterday, she went out of town. She will be back Monday but she is headed for Los Angles to seek fortune and fame. At 24 with her TV experience, young age, limited bills and no children or husband, I told that now is the time. She always talked about moving to L.A.. Now is when you can effect your future's past. You do not want to be 30 years old married and then regret that you did not try.

She has a new car paid for (graduation gift) and I still pay her cellphone bill, car insurance and health insurance until March 2016, when she turns 25. I did this with all three of my daughters, to give them a chance to set a financial base thru savings. I preach that its education and savings (frugal) that are important in this society.

However, I am nervous about my daughter driving to L.A., even with her friend. Driving through Texas worries me. Given what has happened to Sandra Bland. I need to find a solution.

But today I need a solution to help me feel better. It's just one of those days. I am going to exercise later today, which will help. But I think I need to get out of the house. It was so different to be in Femboy mode with company (my daughter) than when I am alone.

Being with someone who accepts your gender fluid presentation took my mind off of my outfit and appearance and into general discussions of life. It was the closet feeling of being complete both inside and outside that I have felt. Back in the 1990's when I went out with friends as Susan, I was not comfortable enough in public. So I has those mental chains pulling me back.

In 2015, its different and I enjoy it. But it means more of these dysphoric days. I wonder if even after going full-time, will I have these days?

So, I am not going to let this feeling keep me down. I am going to get up and go to the gym and maybe visit my brother.

I will wear something pretty today.

Friday July 17, 2015 - Shopping with my Daughter

Wednesday, my youngest daughter and I spent time playing with makeup and clothes. Thursday we went out shopping.

I decided to wear my yellow outfit with a red shell top. I do not have any shoes with yellow. so I wore my white flats. My jewelry was red based to highlight my red shell. I reduced my overall jewelry pieces because of my daughters advice.

I love my yellow outfit. It reflects how happy I am going shopping with my daughter.

My daughter was happy because she loves to shop and wants to get a better idea of my style.

My daughter needed some hair weave. So we went to the Beauty Supply store I bought my wig.. They are very nice and seem to have a good selection  of hair. So we started there.

I introduced my daughter to the clerk. She stated that we see the resemblance between me and my daughter. I left my daughter to search for hair weave while I looked at jewelry. I did not see any pieces I liked.

My daughter saw some hair but wanted to check some more stores. She agreed with me that they sales lady is real nice and she enjoyed talking with her.

We decided to go next door to look at some shoes at Payless. We had a good time. I tried on shoes that my daughter thought would look nice on me and I tried on shoes I liked. There was a difference and I must admit, I liked a boot she selected.

Both my daughter and I liked this shoe. Its a nice sexy heel for going out to the club. However, I told my daughter, I am not a big club person. I never was. I use to like to meet people in smaller settings, like house parties and amount small groups of people just going out.

But I would by this pair for those nice outings with friends and family when I want to dress up.

The top strap would need some additional holes so that the strap to tighten around my small ankle.

My daughter picked out this boot. I would not have picked it because of the heel and my small ankle.

But once I tried it on, it felt comfortable and looked nice.

My daughter stated that this boot is very versatile and can be worn any season with pants, a skirt or a dress.

The brown color is a neutral color that can match with many different color outfits.
This pink flat was cute and helped fill out my shoe collection. It was on sale for $10 with a 20% off coupon. That sealed the deal.

I bought this shoe. I can not turn down an $8.00 shoe that looks nice and fits mt shoe wardrobe.

My daughter like the shoe. I told her, this flat is a nice color that I can build around and that the price means, I can wait to build that wardrobe.

I like the little string bow on top and its just a nice feminine shoe that works well for me.

My daughter picked out this sandal. I told her that I did not like flat sandals because it makes my feet look too long.

However, one I tried it on, I could see what she was talking about. The straps broke up that long look and my feet did not seem too big.

But I told her I am not mentally ready for this shoe. I still feel it makes my foot look longer than I like. But not as long as I thought it would.
My daughter picked out this heel. I tried it on before and liked it. But the pointed toe bothered me. I like rounded toe heels because it makes my feet look smaller.

But this heel did not make my feet look longer. But it was a tight fit. I would need this shoe in a 12 wide or 13 size.

Its a nice overall heel that can work with many different colors and outfits.

Once we left the shoe store, we needed to go eat and then get back home. I had a drywall guy coming in one hour and then I had to give presentation about real estate to a group of homeowners in two hours.

So we cut the shopping short and decided to pick it up July 27, 2015 with all day shopping  from 10 am until we drop.

We both enjoyed our time out and that 2.5 hours was not enough time.

My daughter and I had a good time talking about enjoying each other's company. She is planning on moving to Los Angeles to chase her dreams. At 24 with no husband or children along with her education and work experience, I told her to go for it. You do not want to look back with regrets. I remember in high school she said she wanted to go out to LA.

She will be leaving in August and I will miss her.

Thursday July 16, 2015 - Makeup time with my daughter

Yesterday, my youngest daughter and I spend a couple of hours playing with makeup and clothes. It was so much fun.

We played with my makeup and she taught me how to apply it better.

We stated with foundation. I have an old foundation bottle from Fashion Fair. My daughter does not use foundation and said my skin was so smooth, I did not need it.

But mentally, I need it. I was happy she thought I did not need it, because its been a week since my last electrology clearing and she did not see much hair.

I did not put on any foundation because my bottle is so old. I need a new bottle before I use any.

I applied some blush at the apple of my cheek bone and blended it up and behind my eyes. Also, I blend it down.

We concentrated on my eyes. I recently purchased some creme eyeliner that comes in a small narrow tube. My daughter uses liquid eyeliner for its more dramatic look.

She showed me how to apply my eyeliner both above the eyelid and below along the bottom lid that is above the bottom lashes. She told me not to apply liquid liner that way on the bottom because it will spread into the eye.

So I practiced on eyeliner and then removing it and trying again. I am going to add this to my Femboy look so I can practice. I am going to buy some liquid eyeliner, so I can practice with both types.

I am pretty good with lipstick, mascara and eyebrow liner because I apply those three items when I go out. I applied them for my daughter, so I could get some tips on better applications.

We played with different looks and styles and just talked about makeup and finding good brands.

I moved to my closet and showed her my dresses and femboy outfits.s She said she wanted to get a feel of my style. One recommendation was to add some cardigan sweaters to my wardrobe.

She liked my colorful summer skinny jeans and the tops. I tried on a variety of outfits and she showed me how to better mix and match the clothes.

After we finished, we decided that on Thursday, we will go out and window shop. I can not wait.

Wednesday July 15, 2015 - Makeup Day with my daughter

Today my youngest daughter is going to give me makeup lessons. I am excited.

I want her to help me with my eye area. I am good with mascara. It's the eye shadow and eyeliner, I need help with.

Hopefully, I can get some pictures to post tomorrow.

Tuesday July 14, 2015 - Shoe shopping

Yesterday, I had hoped to spend most of the day shopping. However a very important meeting was scheduled in the middle of the afternoon. So I only got to go to a few places before I had to go back home and change.

I started out going to fill my gas tank. After I got gas by paying at the pump, I decided to go to Smoothie King to purchase a Yogurt-D Lite smoothie as a meal replacement. It was $5 medium day.

I ordered my smoothie from the young lady at the register and then waited with the other customers to pay and pick up my order. The lady asked the usual question of a name for the order.

I did not know which name to give, Susan or my male nickname chip. I decided quickly to use chip because I was not presenting female but as a feminine guy. However, I need to start using a name that is both male and female, like Leslie, Pat or Jamie. I will pick one by tomorrow.

I went to Payless Shoes to find some shoes. As usual, they were having a sale. Below is a slide show of what I tried on. I like the selection from Payless Shoes much better than the selection from Shoe Show.

I did not purchase any shoes because I need summer clothes more than additional shoes.

I felt very comfortable trying on shoes with other ladies in the same area. I had the sales lady look for some styles I liked that were not in my size. If they did not have it in my size, I could have asked the lady to locate the shoe at another store and I would get a $4.00 off coupon. However, I decided not to do that, because I knew I was not buying today.

The sales lady was very helpful and remembered me from a previous visit. The flats I was wearing today, I bought from this store and she was the clerk that day.

Before I finish this post, let me comment on my outfit. The difference today, was a nice orange top with lace along the collar and hemline. I had a shirt over the spaghetti strap top because I was not wearing a bra. I did not have one  that went with this top, it was thin and you could see thru it. As long as I kept the shirt open and straight up and down I was OK. The top made the outfit feel very feminine as the hemline crossed my hips and gave a line line below the belt.

Sunday July 12, 2015 - Sunday Church Service

I remember going to church on Sunday with my family. Of course I wore suit or pants with dress shirt and jacket and tie. I use to hate it.

My sister and mother wore such pretty and colorful dresses. My  dad and I would say how pretty they looked, as they came down the stairs to exit the house.

It is funny, because in talking to my sister (11 months longer than me), she said she hated getting dressed up for church. She would have been happy is a plain dress or pants with a nice top.

As a young girl I liked the frilly dress with the white shoes. I remember playing after church and wishing I was wearing a dress like the one on the left.
As a young teen, the more "mature" dress with the white shoes and the small heel. The dresses were shinny with a hemline below the knee. The white boxy heel was nice. I remember the girls stopped playing and running around and would sit and talk about things. I do not know what they talked about, but I would have loved to join the group in a nice dress with my hair down my back and something colorful in my hair.
As an adult, I love the styles and colors of the women church suits. My mother wore hats like the picture below but I do not like the big hats.

Maybe, if I grew up as a female, I might have gotten into the fashion show every Sunday with the big hats.

But I love the unique colorful dresses and shoes of that Sunday church outfit.

The church dress with the hat was a staple at my grandmother's church. My mother and grandmother would wear colorful dresses. They spend so much time getting ready and looking so pretty.

For me know, the hat seems over the top.

When I spent a week as Susan in Hilton Head, I went to church in a pretty dress. It was in 1994 and I did not get a picture.

I had a good time and felt so feminine and pretty that day.

Saturday July 11, 2015 - Feminizing

Today is a very busy work day for me. But this afternoon, I am going to take some time for Susan. I am going to do a lemon facial and work on my finger nails.

I love lemon facials. My electrologist told me about them as a way to even out my skin tone, especially under my neck. The center section under my neck is the last area to clear and the hairs go in every direction. My electrologist confirms that the skin tone in that area is different than most other areas of my face.

Since using the lemon facial, I do see a slight difference. So I am going to keep doing a facial every two weeks.

I am very pleased with my finger nails. I have been having problems with breakage of the nails on my right hand, which is the dominant hand. Lately, I have become very aware of how I grab things and use my right hand.

Now I am having good growth without much breakage on both hands. Last week was the first time I had to clip all 10 of my nails because they were too long.

Today, I am going to shape them and replace my clear nail polish. I bought a bottle of brand name clear nail polish and I can see the difference between this better quality brand and the cheap brand..

No matter how busy I am, I always try to give Susan some time to stay pretty.

Friday July 10, 2015 - Pedicure

After my Wednesday electrology session, I went to get my periodic pedicure. I go to the same nail salon each time. I go because the owner is very nice and has always been very accepting of me. When I first started going this past winter, she welcomed me and I felt at home from the beginning.

So when I arrived, she said hello and my technician started my foot bath. I love having a pedicure and my feet look great afterward. Part of my daily routine includes putting Vaseline on my feet. My bi-weekly shaving includes my toes. So once my nails are done, my feet look cute. I think well manicured feet are an important part of being feminine.

Today, I really needed one because my toe nails were getting long and my toe nail polish was chipping. Usually, I would have gotten a pedicure last week, but I was so busy.

There were a few ladies in the salon. Every lady I have encountered women at the salon, they have been either been too busy on the phone, smile at me or say hello. I have yet to have a stare or negative comment. There have been a couple of guys who were getting pedicures while I was at the salon. They always ignore me. Most men do, I have had a few times when male employees not only say hello but we have had a short conversation.

I walked into the salon saying hello, smiling back at the customers that smile at me and walk over to pick out my polish. I am like an old pro now. After I get my polish, I go to the chair my tech has setup for me.

My tech is from Vietnam and is learning English. She still has a long way to go, but she is getting better and has learned a few new words by my next visit . I am bad enough with English, so learning another language has always been tough for me. But I decided last time I was here, I would try to learn a few words. Last time I learned to say hello and good bye. This time I did not learn any words before I came. But I am going to learn yes and no for my next visit.

Darn, I forgot my flip flops. Usually, I bring my own flip flops. I have an inexpensive pair of women flip flops I bought at Payless Shoes. I bring my own because the pair they provide are not long enough and my heels are hanging over the back.

Nothing out of the ordinary happened during my pedicure. I was tired and actually dozed off for a few minutes. They usually have a few women magazines, but they did not have any that day.

One interesting event did happen. A young lady and her female friend came in to get a manicure. As she walked in, she said " hi ladies" to everyone in the salon. I looked over to her and smiled and she smiled and she said hello to me again. That was nice.

Later we were both at the drying station and she and her friend included me in small talk about the hot weather and how much they like this salon.

Back to my pedicure, my tech did indicate how soft and smooth my legs and feet were. I took that as a compliment and it motivates me to keep up my routines. I just need to get some sun on my legs. Next time I am home alone, I am going to sun bath nude, in the backyard, to smooth out my color.

After my polish was dry, I paid my bill. I think $20 is a fair price given that I get a design of each big toe. I add a $5 tip. Maybe that is why my tech is glad to see me (lol).

I walk out in my flip flops they gave me. It gives me a few more minutes in the sun for my polish to dry and it gets me to show off my pretty feet. Once in the car, I put my flats back on and drive away.

Thursday July 9, 2015 - Yesterday's Electrology Session

Yesterday I  went to my bi-weekly session. My face is getting clearer. It still took about an hour and my mustache area still makes my eyes water. But I am getting close to the end.

For some reason,  my "eletro-zaps" hurt a little more. I usually have my session at 10 am and I am the first of the day. Today, my appointment was at 2:00 pm and I felt a slight difference in my tech's pace and the feel of the current. I do not know if it was her, me or both. But we got through it.

I will be out of town during the week of my next session, So, I will have my next appointment on July 28th, which is 3 weeks out. I wonder how much hair there will be after three weeks of no shaving or clearing.

It was hot in Atlanta. The temperature was in the 90's but it felt like 100+. July and August provide that heat and humidity that gives Atlanta that Hotlanta.name.

I still have a ton of work, but I wanted to get out and at least shoe shop.

I went to Shoe Show looking for some colorful flats. I saw a pair of dark blue that were like the white pair I was wearing, but they did not have it in my size.

The store employee helped me look for that shoe in my size. We talked about that style and since I was wearing the white version, I told her I liked how cool they kept my feet. She complimented me on my pants and how well the shoes looked with them. I learned from my trip to the car rental store, to accept the compliment and not worry about a lack of a compliment on the rest of my wardrobe. My friend at the rental store told me that women usually compliment what they like best and it might not me a rejection of the rest of the wardrobe.

I told her I  like capri length in the summer time. One reason I wanted some more flats, were to match them with some new capris I wanted to buy.

I tried on the following two pairs. I did not like the open toes flat with the open side. It made my feet look too big. I liked the heel, but I am not in a heel buying mode. I need to conserve my cash for other items. The ankle strap was tight which is a must because of my small ankles.

I did get a pedicure. I will post some pictures and write about that tomorrow.

Here is my complete outfit.

I wore my white capri pants and white flats. I love these pants and will buy some more in the coming week. I added a dark green spaghetti strap top and a nice white, green and red shirt.

I reduced my jewelry slightly, based on my daughter's recommendation.

It was nice to get out and about again. I will be in all day today and Friday working. I am wondering if my lack of daily actively, is causing my slight weight gain.

But everything I am doing is computer based and occurs in the virtual world.

Welcome to the future.
