Monday August 31, 2015 - My Sister

I was at the dentist (my sister's office) for 4 hours. My mouth is sore but cleaner.

Last night I arived at my sister's house around 2:30 am. My sister and I sat up for a few minutes so I could get an update on my mother. Then she surprised me by asking about my transgender issue. She asked how it was going.

In case you did not read my previous posts about my sister, she was the least receptive due to her religious convictions.  Post #1    Post #2

So for her to ask about it was a surprise. I vaguely told her my transition was "moving along". She stated that a friend of hers watches I am Cait and All That Jazz.

Then she told me that she has watched a few espiodes of I am Cait.

How many is a few? I know it was more than two. But I decided not to ask. The fact that she watched it and told me, was really cool. I know she watched it to learn more about me.

We talked about Caitlyn's political leanings which I find very interesting. I finally put my head around a Tranwoman Tea Party voter. But that is Ok, We need advocates in all parties and voting blocks.

I returned the discussion to me and forward in more details because she is trying and so I decided to push it. So I told her about my Doctor's appointment and my plans.

I decided to test her again by asking if she wanted to see some pictures. Last time, she said she did not want to see me dressed.

Again to my surprise, she said yes. So I pulled up some photos on my phone. She stated, I looked like our mother's mother.

After about 1.5 hours, because it was getting late, we stopped and went to bed.

While taking my evening (early morning) shower, I realized, this transition is going well and my friends, family and the community are going to adjust.

Monday August 31, 2015 - Dentist

Today I am in Orlando getting some dental work done. I have a morning appointment at my sister's office. I drove all nght to get here. So my normal post will be posted later today.

Please check back.

But in the meantime, pray for me. Lol

She is really good. It's the trans stuff she has issues with. (Previous Post)

Sunday August 30, 2015 - No Boys Allowed

Saturday I went to a sad funeral of a clients's 26 year old grandson who died from sickle cell anemia. For me, funerals are sad events that remind me of my mortality.

I noticed that the family pulled up in a very nice and classy set of Camaros. One of her other grandchildren is married to a lady who started a women's only car club for owners of Camaros. They are a same-sex couple who have been married many years. They went to Boston and got married once same-sex marriage was approved.

The name of their club is No Boys Allowed (NBA).

As they drove up with the family members, others were amazed at the number of Camaros and their look. They were well kept with fancy wheels and very nice paint jobs.

The picture to the left, contains the Camaro of my client's granddaughter's wife. She is going to get a new paint job next week. She stated that she gets her car painted every year.

I thought, it would be nice if I could join a club like this. Now I am not a Camaro owner, nor am I into cars. But joining an all women's club would allow me to learn more about being a female. I could learn by immersing into an all women's environment.

I asked my clients daughter-in-law, if they allow Transwomen to join. She smiled and said yes they would.

So I have decided that I am going to look for a female only club that relates to a hobby I like and accepts Transwomen. Once I find one, I will join in late 2016, after 6 months on HRT.

Maybe I can find a bridge, knitting or social club.

Saturday August 29, 2015 - Goodwill Shopping

On Wednesday after my doctor's appointment, I went to the local Goodwill store. I decided to change into a Femboy look instead of remaining Female.

However, I did keep on my padded bra which emphasized my natural breasts from gynecomastia.

I felt totally comfortable and enjoyed shopping. I really needed about 4 or 5 hours to check out a couple of store. But I needed to get back home to work.

So I was looking for some women workout leggings and some summer items. I know summer is needing soon, but I still need a few more items.

I found a couple of pair of pants.

I needed another pair of capris. I love the white pair I am wearing today. It was a hot summer in Hotlanta and the skinny jeans were so hot. The capri pants are a nice cool alternative.

So I found these cute pair to add to my wardrobe. They fit really nice and were 50% off. SOLD!

I am not sure what color these are pants are. They appear to be a yellowish color. Can anyone educate me?

I found these white skinny jeans. I loved the fit and feel of them. They were a little long. The low cut waist line was nice but does not show in the left photo.

The problem was that the zipper was broken. So I figured I might be able to negotiate a lower the price at the cashier's counter.

I took it to the counter and used all of my feminine charm, but it did not work. Since the pants were 50% off, she said she could not lower it below $2.62.

There is an alternation store within one mile from my house that can fix that zipper quickly.

So I bought these to go with my spring color set of skinny jeans.

I did not have much time but did find two nice pair of pants. I need to find the time to spend a whole day shopping at Goodwill stores in my area. Hopefully, I can do that in the couple of weeks.

I am still in the glow of starting my HRT in June 10, 2015.

Friday August 28, 2015 - Femboy or Female

Wednesday, I decided to go to the doctor as a women and not a Femboy. I realized that the difference between the two is narrowing. I replaced my hat with a wig, flats with heels and a sports bra with a padded bra. My clothes and makeup remained the same.

Femboy Look
Female Look

I could not get a good full length photo of me at the doctor. The outside pictures I tried to take, did not come out well. So I tried to squeeze a full length photo using the chair in the exam room. Below are my attempts at some more photos.

The only difference between the two looks above is hair and heels.

I thought about this. My Femboy look has been slowly moving toward a more female look. My makeup, now only needs  foundation added. I will update my foundation, once I finish my electrology sessions.

On Wednesday, I added my padded bra to my Femboy look. I decided not to replace my padded bra with a racing bra which flattens my chest.

I went to CVS, Payless Shoes and Goodwill after my doctor's appointment. Even with a small but cute bra line, I felt comfortable and had no issues all day.

I doubt I will permanently add a padded bra to my Femboy look. I think a Femboy look should have a flat chest. But I think I did look cute in that padded bra. A felt just a little more feminine.

I am still happy about my appointment. So I added a countdown clock to my future HRT appointment on June 10, 2016.

This is me in the exam room waiting on the doctor.

This is my best attempt at a photo outside. I could not get a good photo. The sun was too bright and in a bad position. I could not find a place to sit my camera and have the sun in the right position. Darn!

The exam room was so small, I could not get a nice full length photo. Here is my best attempt. I was looking at this photo and imaging what a year of HRT will do to my face. I think my cheeks will round out along with an overall fuller face.

Thursday August 27, 2015 - Yes!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wednesday was one of the happiest days of my life. I had my annual doctor's physical. During my physical, I talked to the doctor about hormone replacement therapy (HRT).

I have been planning for this day for decades. Recently, since 2010, when I started my transition, the day I would ask to start HRT seemed a long way away.

Well here it is 5.5 years later. In 2013, I started going to this doctor because of his Transgender clinic.

I decided at the last minute not to go dressed as a Femboy but as a women. I figured, I wanted the doctor to see Susan. So I added heels, padded bra and a wig.

I felt very comfortable parking and going into the office. The office is in a converted house with rear parking and you walk around to the front door on a busy street. I walked in and went to the front desk. Both women said hello and asked my name. I gave them my male name because that is the name on my insurance card and the appointment is under that name. The lady closest to me ask for my preferred name.

That was nice, it reminded me of E3000 in Dallas. Companies that have many transgender clients, understand the name issue. So I told her, I would prefer Susan King. She entered my name into the computer and asked me to relax in the waiting room. Within 4 minutes, I was called in.

I was weighted and asked many questions. The intern asked if the three drugs I was on, were the only ones. I told her I was only on one drug for my glaucoma.

She said the notes had me on 4 mg of Estadiol Oral each day and 1.25 mg Finasteride per day. Wow.

But I told her I wanted to talk to the doctor today about HRT. She asked when I wanted to start. I told her around May 2016. She asked why wait. Most girls start right away. I stated I had a long term plan and I was not ready yet.

She smiled and said ok.  Once she finished checking my vital signs, the doctor arrived.

He reviewed my past physical data and current numbers. My only issue is that my blood sugar is still a little high. I told the doctor that I lost 65 lbs, workout 3 to 4 days a week and try to eat health just to keep my diabetes in check. I told him I have a family history of alcohol abuse, glaucoma, diabetes and prostate cancer. I added that, I do not drink, take daily eye drops and watch what I eat and exercise. The HRT will cure the prostate cancer and he agreed.

I asked what were his requirements for a transwomen to start HRT. He supports informed consent, meaning I could start as soon as I read and sign his consent forms. YEAH!!!

But I told him that I would not be ready until May 2016. He asked if I was already on hormones. I told him I has gynomastia which was a burden when I was growing up, but now its a gift.

I thought to myself, how I made the best decision when I was 14 years old and my dad asked if I wanted my little breast buds removed. I said no and luckily, he did not force me. Now I have a great base.

I was so happy. I know once I start HRT, it will be for life. If I decide against SRS, I will at least get a orchiectomy which will reduce the amount of  maintenance medicine.

Like my eye drops, HRT  will be for life.

Before I left, I made a June 10, 2016 appointment to come in and sign the informed consent forms and start HRT. This will be the longest 10 months of my life.

I still have much to do. I need to work on my voice, makeup and female mannerisms.

Wednesday August 26, 2015 - HRT

Today is a very important day in my transition.  I am having my annual phyiscal and I am going to talk to the Doctor about hormone replacement therapy (HRT).

I started going to this doctor in 2013 because he provides transgender care in his practice. The first two years, I got an annual physical with blood work, just to get a history in this practice.

Today I am going in Femboy mode and talk with him about HRT. I am very excited because this is another important step in my transition. Below is my transition schedule that I started in 2010 and expect to end in 2017.
  1. Lose weight  (lost 65 lbs in 18 months - down to size 8/10) DONE
  2. Lose facial hair (32 months - 95+% gone - no longer shave) FINISHING
  3. Start wearing feminine clothes in public - 10 months as a femboy - comfortable out in makeup and female clothes  NOW
  4. Coming out -I have been telling family and will continue with family and then friends NOW
  5. Makeup  NOW
  6. Female mannerisms  NOW
  7. Voice - once I finish electrology will pay for voice coach  LATE 2015 OR 2016
  8. HRT -  2016
  9. Full Time female - LATE 2016 - EARLY 2017 - after 6/12 months of HRT
  10. FFS - Feminine Facial Surgery - Trachea Shave  2017 - after 12 months of HRT
  11. SRS (?)

Today is about Step 8. I want to talk to the doctor about his recommended HRT regime. Also, I would like to know what his requirements are for his HRT supervision. I went to him because I heard he will start HRT under informed consent.

Wish me luck. I will let you know how it goes in my Thursday post.

Tuesday August 25, 2015 - Our Insecurity

I found this short 4.5 minute video about transgender insecurity. They interviewed both Transmen and Transwomen.

I think you will find this video enlightening.

Monday August 24, 2015 - Take the U.S. Trans Survey

We are making tremendous gains toward acceptance in society. However, there is still work to do.

Most of that work will require data about us and our community.

The US Trans Survey‬ is a vehicle that will collect that important  data about trans lives and the community. It is essential to help us advocate for our community.

I am going to complete a survey and I hope you will too. (Survey) The survey is open until September 21, 2015.

This survey is from the National Center For Transgender Equality and is supported by the Human Rights Campaign (HRC).

Sunday August 23, 2015 - First Transwomen appointed to the White House staff memeber

The White House hired Raffi Freedman-Gurspan, who was a policy adviser at the National Center for Transgender Equality. She was hired by Mr. Obama’s team as the director of outreach and recruitment for the White House personnel office.

She started at the White House while Mr. Obama is on vacation in Martha’s Vineyard.

This is another milestone on our road to equality. It might not seem like a big step, but having someone who is out and representing our issues within the White House staff is big. She may not directly become involved in transgendered issues, but her acceptance as part of the White House team will have huge benefits, as people get to know her.

Many people still say they do not know a Transperson. Far more people actually do know someone, but he or she is still in the closet. However, polling shows that once someone does know a Transperson, their support of trans issues rise significantly.

The 2015 HRC poll shows that only 22% of Americans know a Transperson. Which is up from 17% in 2014. The big takeaway from this poll is that those who know a Transperson have a 66%-13% favorable view of Transpeople. The 78% that do not know a Transperson have a 37% to 30% favorable view of Transpeople. The difference is a huge. This supports the need for more Transpeople to come out either in public or among friends and/or family.

By coming out, you will assist in increasing the overall acceptance of our community.

Saturday August 22, 2015 - Eyeliner

I am having a problem putting on eyeliner. I am OK with the bottom part of my eye. I use a gel liner and put it along my bottom waterline. It looks great and wore well all day.

However, I am having a hard time with my top eyelid. I stretch out my eye and try to draw a straight line across the top of my eyelash line. But I keep messing up.

I am going to continue to practice until I get it right. However, next week, I am going to go to Ulta Beauty for some help.

I found this buzzfeed article with some good tips on eyeliner. I am definitely someone who sucks at eyeliner.

Friday August 21, 2015 - Shoes

Tuesday, after my electrology session and before my pedicure, I went shoe shopping at both Payless Shoes and Shoe Show. Both of these stores are between the electrology office and the nail shop.

I went to Shoe Show first. They have a nice selection of flats. I bought my white pair from this store. However, this time they just had basic colors and I was looking for some unique colors like a maroon, red or something that will work with a green outfit.

Their heel selection is not that good. There are some nice pairs but most of them do not fit well or hurt my feet. Until, I found the pair below. This pair made my heart flutter. I do not know what it was about this shoe but if I were wearing heels on a consistent basic, I would have bought these at full price.

I think it was the gladiator style of the straps and the peep toe. This is what shopping is all about. Finding that piece that just says "yes". I tried them on and they not only fit but they were so comfortable. My toes looked great in them. My overall foot appeared smaller because of the straps. Finally, they hugged my small ankles and my heel sat perfectly.

It was very hard for me to put them back. I wanted to cry, but I knew I am at least 1 year away from wearing heels on a consistent basis. As I write this post, those shoes keep calling me and I think I am going to answer yes, as a treat to me and just save them for next year. Last winter I bought those fur boots, yet I did not wear them last winter. But I will wear them this winter. So I can do the same with these shoes. Summer is almost over, but I can save them for next summer.

With tears in my eyes :-), I left and went to Payless Shoes.

They were having a sale and I wanted to see what was marked down. I like Payless Shoes over Shoe Show because of their variety in my size (12).

As I walked in, the young sales clerk said hello and I smiled returning the salutation. I headed for shoe racks for my size. Most of the styles, I had either bought, tried on or had seen before. Except the pair I tried on.

They were a nice pair of nude heels with a silver tip. I usually do not like pointed toe shoes because, to me, it makes my foot look longer. But these did not do that.

I tried them on and walked to the mirror. The sales clerk walked by and said they looked nice on me and my foot color accentuated the shoe. She stated that she liked them she but her skin color did not match well with the shoe color. We talked for a few minutes and I noticed the whole time, she used female pronouns when referring to me.

Women will do that, even when I am not trying to "pass". Even as a feminine male, some ladies accept my attempt to be feminine. Most guys either do not use gender language or over use male pronouns. I think for guys, they want to make sure I know they are not "fooled". I just want to tell them, I am not trying to fool anyone.

Anyway back to my shoe shopping. I like this pair but my feet started to hurt along the toe area. So these shoes are a definite no. But they did look cute.

Once I finished at Payless Shoes, I headed for my pedicure.

Thursday August 20, 2015 - Pedicure

Tuesday, after my electrology session, I needed a pedicure. My toe  nails had grown long and my polish was peeling. I do not wear open toe shoes yet, so my polish will last a little longer, but it has been too long between pedicures.

So I went to my favorite nail salon. I was the only customer, I guess with children back to school and summer coming to an end, this might be a slow period.

I said hello and the owner always compliments me on an item. This time it was my outfit color (blue). I am sure she says something nice to all her customers. Which is a good idea. I took the compliment with a thank you and a smile.

I sat down with my regular tech. As you can see from the picture, she was wearing a nice lace top. I complimented her on it and she said she made it. I asked her if she could make me one and she said yes. I told her I love lace and would talk to her later about it. I do not know if she was kidding or not. But I will reminder on my next visit.

I have used the same tech since I started going this past winter. Every time, I give her a nice tip because she does a great job. She takes a long time (1 hr 35 mins) and I can tell she cares about her work. This time she took a long time framing each toe. This makes a big difference.

I tried a french tip this time. I had this style my first time at this salon and I thought the white tip was too thick. So this time I had an image on my phone showing a thinner tip. I like the results. She did a great job and my toes look really pretty. I love how she minimized my toe nail on my big toe.

Tomorrow I am going to post my visit to the shoe stores. I went before my pedicure. Now I wish I went after, so I could see how my french tip toes looked in an open toe shoe.

Below, a took a picture of my feet in the new shoes my daughter bought me for my birthday.. I think my feet and legs look good. The pedicure is great.

I need to find out my tech's birthday. I am going to be a loyal customer for a long time.

Wednesday August 19, 2015 - Electrology Session

Yesterday, I spent over an hour on the electrologist's table getting my whiskers zapped.

I arrived early to spend some time in the lobby returning emails.

Usually, I am arriving just in time or a little late. If I am running late, I call to give an ETA.

So when I arrived early, everyone was surprised. I told them I like to be fashionably late, but I needed to charge my laptop while in session hell :-}.

My tech took me in early (about 9:45 am instead of 10:00 am). I apologized for canceling twice late week. I explained that my surprise out-of-town guests thru my schedule is a mess.

She said no problem. I appreciate that response, but I know small businesses like this can not afford to have their schedule in flux.

My facial hair on my cheeks and sideburns are gone. Its mostly around the mouth and down the center of the neck. I still think three weeks between sessions is too long. It took my tech about 80 minutes to clear my face, with pain in the usually areas. The mustache area is the last to be cleared and creates the most tears.

She breaks my face up into four areas:

  1. Starts on the right side of my face and zaps a few hairs on my cheek and sideburn area. Then moves to my jaw line for a few minutes. Next she clears the right side of my neck.
  2. I turn on my side and she repeats Step #1 for the left side.
  3. She then clears my center neck from the Adams Apple up, over onto my chin and finally to my bottom lip
  4. Finally, she goes around the mouth and mustache
The most painful areas are along the jawline and section #4.

Once I am finished, I always need a tissue to dry my eyes. Its not crying per say, but my eyes water. This is why I put on my makeup after my session.

After we finished, I go out to the front lobby to pay, then make my next appointment (in two weeks) and head to the bathroom to freshen up and put on my makeup.

Yesterday, my makeup included

  1. Brown eyebrow pencil
  2. Black eyeliner
  3. Mascara
  4. Blush
  5. Lip liner, lip stick and lip gloss
I still need work on my eyeliner, especially the top line. I like my bottom line which I put on my waterline. The gel I put there did not come off until I removed it. I need a sharper gel pen or try a pencil.

I am going to Ulta Beauty to find one.

Tomorrow and Friday, I will continue my discussion about great Femboy Day.

Tuesday, August 18, 2015

Tuesday August 18, 2015 - Femboy Day, Yeah!

Finally, I get a full day out. I have an electrology session in the morning. It has been three long weeks. I had to trim my few whiskers, but I no longer shave and the remaining hairs are few, grey and thin. I have only a very few black hairs left.

I am very happy with the results. I have been with this electrologists since December and hopefully will be finished by December of this year. It will take about 6 or 7 more sessions. During the first 6 months, I had weekly sessions. In June, I started bi-weekly sessions. Tomorrow is my second 3 week session. I like the bi-weekly sessions and will return to that in September. Even if the bi-weekly sessions are less than an hour, I just like to have my face cleared sooner. Three weeks is too long between sessions.

Before this eletrologist, I went to E3000 in Dallas for two years. E3000 did a great job and the ladies were so nice to me.

Second, I am going to shop for some fall tops and a few more feminine summer tops. I am always on the look out for women leggings and workout clothes.

Finally, I need a pedicure. It's time, with my nails getting longer and the polish fading.

So I have a busy day. I will definitely let you know what happens tomorrow.

Monday August 17, 2015 - Out and about

Sunday I went out in Femboy mode and went to Payless shoes and Big Lots.

I wore my yellow pants and shirt with a green spaghetti shell underneath. I added my white flats from shoe show. I love this yellow look during the summer and spring. I got some looks but its because I look so cute.

I went to Big Lots to buy some bread. My grandchildren eat alot of bread. So even though this bread has a quick expiration date, The bread will be gone before it goes bad. I added a few more things to my basket and headed to the check out.

The lady said I looked good in yellow today. I smiled and said thank you, Mira. Mira was on her name tag. We chatted for about a minute about the nice weather. Then she asked me for my Big Lots card. I did not have it in my purse, so I gave her my number. She asked if I was Mary Lasiter because that name came up with a phone number similar to mine. I said no and gave her my email address. My male name came up and I told her that was me.

I told her that I needed to put my card back in my pocketbook. I thanked her and she said have a nice day.

It feels so good when you get nice compliments. That is why I now compliment women all the time. It does not matter, how I dress, I know the time it takes to look nice. I am not trying to be a guy about it, but from one girl to another.

I went back over the Payless Shoes. I thought a new sale had started. But it starts Monday. So I did not buy anything and will try again Tuesday. Tuesday is my next Femboy day. I have my electrology session, Goodwill is senior day and I will check out the Payless Shoes sale.

However, I did find some nice flats.

I like these peep toe flats. They fit well and I like the way my toes show through. They sit in the opening really nice.
This pair has the nice emblem on the front. These shoes remind me of Tory Burch. I am going to buy a pair when they go on sale later in the season. They are different. I just need to find the right color.

I already have a grey flats and the other pair in stock was black.
This is a maroon color flat. It has elastic around the top of the shoes. This elastic grips my foot in a way that is not only comfortable but it look good. I have a brown pair with the elastic top and it wears well and frames my foot. I might buy this shoe because of the color. But again I am going to wait for a sale.

Sunday August 16, 2015 - My shoe is finally on sale

I have been waiting for this shoe to go on sale since June 5th. It finally has and I bought a pair for only $10.

I love shopping for women's clothes and getting good deals.

I want this pair for my fall outfits. I love the color palette. The grey and dark red with yellow remind me of fall and the changing colors. I may wear them with my yellow pants but it will be the dark brown and grey pants I wear during the fall.

I went out Saturday and bought these flats. I also bought some more cute ankle socks and some safety pins.

I bought the safety pins because I  have been having problems keeping my ankle socks together after I was them in the dirty clothes hamper.

So I decided to use safety pins to pin both ankle socks together, once I put them in the bin.

Saturday August 15, 2015 - Tattoos

I am going to try a feminine small temporary tattoo. I think I am going to put a flower or butterfly (see below) on my ankle. I am leaning toward a red rose with a green stem.

I grew up not liking tattoos. I thought they were for rough and tumble guys. Which  was definitely not me.

But now I find a nice colorful tattoo, very feminine and cute. The picture below is the type I want to try. I will wear it with a pair of capri pants.

Here is a video on how to apply a temporary tattoo.

Friday August 14, 2015 - Rescheduled again

With out of town guests, I was too busy to get my electrology session in on Thursday. So I had to postpone my session again until next Tuesday. That will make it three weeks again and I did not want to wait that long.

My youngest daughter and I were suppose to go shopping Saturday, but she will be apartment hunting in her new town. I would not mind going apartment hunting with her as a Femboy, but I wanted to go shopping. So we will reschedule and maybe shop next Saturday.

Next Tuesday, after my electrology session, I will get a pedicure. I need one bad. I think I can make it until then, but my toe nails are starting to look bad. I might take off the polish and clip them this weekend.

Today, I have a four hour one way drive to attend a 90 minute meeting. So my whole day is shot. I may get back to workout in the gym before it closes, but traffic maybe bad. It looks like next week before Susan can get out.

Wednesday, August 12, 2015

Wednesday August 12, 2015 - Yesterday worked out OK

I has an old College friend and his wife visit yesterday. So I had to reschedule my Femboy day. I had fun reminiscing about 40 years ago. I remember when my parents use to do that. I thought they were so old talking about 40 year old events.

Darn, I must be getting old. But like I say, its better than the alternative.

Well after they left, I decided to take some feminine time. First I went to the gym. I had not been in a week due to my travel schedule. But I needed it.

I wore a pink and grey outfit. The grey outer shirt was long with multi-color words printed down the right side. The pink color that matched my leggings was in the print.

After I finished 75 minutes of cardio, I went home and took a nice warm bubble bath and shaved.

After my shave, I took a shower to make sure all hair clippings were removed. Then, I completed my daytime (even though it was night) body lotion routine. I did not get to complete my morning routine because of company arriving early. So I felt like doing it last night.

Once I was clean, smooth, soft and smelling nice, I completed a manicure while watching some funny youtube videos.

My nails are really looking good. They are not chipping as much. The only thing I am doing differently, is I am more aware of how I use my hands and I have a new clear nail polish.

My nails are getting longer. So I have to clip them down and shape them more.

As I get use to longer nails, I am keeping them slightly longer and I like the compliments I get from women. It makes all the hard work worth it.

Thursday I look forward to getting my face cleared by the electrologist.

Tuesday, August 11, 2015

Tuesday August 11, 2015 - My Femboy Day

Today is Tuesday and it's time for my bi-weekly electrology session. However, I had surprise out of town guests. Also my youngest daughter was offered a new job in a larger TV market. In both casses, it caused me to have to reschedule my appointment to Thursday.

It did not work out for my Femboy day. However, my friends helped me pack my daughter's car. So it worked out.

I am going to spend some quality feminine time tonight to offset the changing of my schedule. I am going to shave, give myself a manicure and exercise tonight.

By the way, after two weeks, I have very little facial hair. I suspect that Thursday, it will take less than 1 hour to clear my face.

Living in both worlds is sometime very frustrating. But as long as I am working toward my transition and therefor a solution, I just have to grin and bear it.

Monday August 10, 2015 - Belly Button Piercing

As a older male, growing up in the 1960's, I do not find body piercing attractive. Except for earrings. I always wanted pierced ears.

Today, many men have pieced ears, so its not a big deal anymore. I will get mine pierced after 6 months on HRT. I just like to set goals and then treat myself. Currently, I use a trick I learned via youtube that simulates pieced ears.

I cut off the stem of the earring. Using nail glue, I glue the earring onto my ear. It works and looks great. The only problem I have had is that the earring might fall off when trying on clothes that go over my head. I have had to be take my time as to not rub against the earrings. I have lost a set of earring in the dressing room when I forgot and a dress I tried on, rubbed off the earrings. I did not notice my earrings were gone until I had left the store.

But lately, I was had a desire to pierce my belly button. I think a nice belly button jewel is cute. I have worked hard to keep my belly flat. I wear a size 8/10 pair of pants. My waist is about 30-31 inches. I would like to get under 30 inches. But I still have a little flab. I am going to set a goal to tighten by belly a little and for a gift, treat myself to a belly button piercing..

I do not have a belly like you see on the left photo. I am not  that flat or curvy and probably never will. But I think after 6 months of HRT and continued exercising, I will be close enough for a 60 year old.

This is my belly. I think it could get a little tighter. I am hoping the HRT will have a positive impact. I am going to get a larger jewel for the inside of the button. I also like ones that dangle.

This is one reason why I want to get my weight down to under 163. At that point, I noticed my belly was very flat. It is still flat but has a little puffiness to it.

Here is an example of the dangle I am looking for. I like this one. It's so cute and feminine.

Sunday August 9, 2015 - What a weekend!

This was crazy weekend as I picked up 5th client and a roller coaster weekend. But it still comes back to transgenderism.

Please be patient, I have to give you some quick background first.

I picked up a new client in New Jersey. I had some friends visiting this past week from Baltimore. So when they left Friday to drive back to Baltimore, my associate and I joined them and we decided to drive straight thru the night.

  1. We were suppose to leave at 1 pm Friday afternoon but did not leave until 3:30 pm because his daughter was late bring his grandchildren to say goodbye. In Atlanta on Friday, leaving that late means heavy traffic. We did not outside of Atlanta until 6:30 pm. That's right, three hours in traffic.
  2. At 11:30 pm, I took over driving, drank a large cup of coffee and I drove all the way to Baltimore. We got in at 6:45 am and I needed to leave for New Jersey at 9:00 am. So I dd not sleep. I took a shower and completed my daily feminine routine. I complete my routine every day, so that I can learn how to pace myself and give myself enough time. I am now know why ladies take too long in the bathroom. And I love it.
  3. I finished getting dressed by 7:30 and completed by Saturday Blog Post. We ate a quick breakfast and headed out on the road a 9:30 am. I thought it would take two hours, but my client was at his beach house in Atlantic City and it took 4:00 hours because of all that beach traffic.
  4. We meet from 1:30 pm to 3:30 pm and we had to leave to catch or bus back. I had to do all the driving because the car was a stick shift and my associate can not drive a stick.
  5. We got back to Baltimore at 6:30 and needed to catch a 7:10 pm bus from Baltimore Penn Station to Washington DC Union Station. We could not catch that 7:10 pm bus so there was a second bus at 8:20 that would get us to Unon Station at 9:20 which is close but we can make that 9:30 pm Megabus.
  6. We left at 7:30 pm to catch that bus and ran into Baltimore Orioles' baseball game traffic. At 8:15, we got within two blocks of the bus station and ran the last two blocks. Well the bus had not arrived because it was caught in the same traffic. The bus did not leave until 8:40 pm and we did not arrive in Union Station until 9:45 pm.
  7. Well the 9:30 pm Megabus was an hour late. So we did make the bus but I had not slept since Friday at 11:30 pm. I am getting too old for this
  8. We got on the bus and it left at 11:00 pm. However, one reason it was late was due to electrical problems. So there was not electricity to charge my devices. But I slept hard.
My client had a very nice house on the Atlantic City inter-coastal water way. We sat out on the deck watching kids canoe along the waterway. We met with two gentlemen and one of their wives came out and asked us if we wanted something to drink. I told her I liked the color and style of her hair. I had noticed she had just her hair done. We responded by saying it was humid outside and she way trying to keep it up. I told her that whatever she was doing, it was definitely working. I repeated that I liked the color and style.
She smiled and left as both my associate and I did not want anything to drink. My transgender gift was at work again. I now notice those things about women and complimenting the wife will definitely help me during this project. Plus it made her day. I could tell by her smile. Also, I remember when the sales lady at the car rental company complimented me on my jeans and shoes. She later explained to be that women usually pick out something they really like in another women's outfit and compliment that item I am trying to learn.

While we were driving to Baltimore on Friday night, Caitlny Jenner came up.  One of my friends is a doctor and he did not support what "Bruce" was doing. He was using male pronouns and said he can never be a she. He even used the Santorum example of choosing to be a woman to get access to the girls bathroom while in high school. You can tell which news channel he watches.

I wanted to come out right then, but decided to wait. We talked for hours about this. The lady in the car supported my side which supports Caitlny, while my associaite supported my male friends side.

There were four issues tied together.

  1. First he did not believe gender and sex were actually separate. I know he is a big time shopper of men's clothes and likes to shop for women's clothes for his daughter and wife. While he was raising his daughter, they would shop for her clothes and he would help with styles. But as he said in the car, he never felt like wearing them. So I asked him, just because someone makes a choice to wear the women clothes, does it make them bad. He and a transvestite (his word) both like to shop for women's clothes. The only difference is deciding to wear them. He agreed with me.
  2. Second, he is a medical doctor and from a biological stand point, "Bruce" can not become a girl. The chromosomes can not change. I said, in Caitlyn's case that might be true, but there are people with chromosomes outside the norm. He agreed, but he said there are not many cases. I said that God does not make mistakes and maybe he gave people chromosome issues so you could study the differences. That study will lead to a better understanding of sex chromosome. While I agreed that from a biology standpoint, you can not change your chromosomes, he will never be a biological girl at the DNA level. But that is not what Caitlyn is changing.
  3. Third, there is a difference between gender and sexual orientation. Gender is above the shoulder. This is where, my coming out would have helped. I wanted to come out really bad but did not. He believes that gender changes represent a mental illness. I have know him for over 25 years. If  I came out, it would disprove his theory. He knows I am crazy (lol) but not mentally ill. His opinion are more inline with my sister. But in this area, we agreed to disagree. I can not wait until I come out to him and we revisit this issue.
  4. I did get him to understand and he even started using the words "gender fluidity". That gender is not binary. He thinks gender fluidity is 100% optional and people decide. I told him people are gender fluid and decide to express it. If someone does not express it, does not mean it does not exist within them. He agreed that might be possible.
Over the next few hours, I did get him to see the issues slightly differently. Or at least he was tired of talking about it.

This is an example of, once someone knows a transgendered person, their opinions change.Once I come out to him, we can talk on a different level based on our mutual history and I can give him personal examples that he can understand.

Friday August 7, 2015 - Healthy Lips

Maintaining my lips has become a part of my daily routine. No matter which mode I am in, I think having healthy lips are important.

Your lips help project a healthy look and how you feel. When out as a Femboy, I use to wear clear lip gloss. Then I upgraded to a colored lip gloss. Now I wear lip liner with lipstick and a clear gloss over it. I love wearing lipstick.

Usually I use a subtle color and I have had no second looks our negative reactions. Of course people know I am wearing lipstick because of the color and the gloss that gives my lips a healthy shine.

I had to learn how to drink with a straw instead of from the cup's edge. I now use a straw 100% of the time. I use to never use a straw. By using a straw 100% of the time, it makes it easy to remember when out as a Femboy.

From a daily maintenance standpoint, I now use lip balm to keep my lips moist and healthy, when not wearing lipstick. In the morning I make sure I coat my lips with Vitamin E. In the evening before I go to bed, I put a thin coat of Vaseline on them. This additional routine makes my lips ready for lip liner, lipstick and gloss for those Femboy days.

The first time I got a makeover from an Avon sales lady, she complimented my on my lips and my bow area. It's funny how those little compliments early gives you that confidence. I remember my oldest daughter said to me in 9th grade that she likes wear sandals to school because she gets compliments on her feet. So I have always compliments my daughter on their appearance because I know how important that is for me. This is one of those little gifts from being transgendered.

I use Fashion Fair lipstick. Fashion Fair is probably considered old woman's cosmetics. I remember my Grandmother use to use White Shoulders and I thought that was for old folks.

I like the Fashion Fair color palette.

I got a nice compliment from a lady at the car rental agency on my white teeth. I was in Femboy mode and she asked me how I got them so white. I did have them whitened decades ago. But I remember the Avon lady telling me that the lipstick color was important in showing white teeth.

You can see that I use subtle color and add a clear gloss in the center. I set my lipstick using a lip liner under my lipstick covering most of my lip. I do not like a hard color contrast with a lip liner. I like it to be the same color as my lipstick or slightly darker.

I will keep working on my lips and applying lip makeup, so when I start presenting as a woman, this will be second nature.
