This picture reminds me of my young days when I would dress around the house and hate myself for it. I remember those early purges. I lost some good stuff (smile).

If only I could go back and tell my younger self to own it. It's a gift and not a curse.

Wednesday December 28, 2016 - Hats

When I was in Femboy mode, I use to wear a hat. That was because I was not wearing a wig and wanted to feminize  my head  since I have a sever case of male pattern baldness.

Now I would like to incorporate hats into my everyday look. I worry about having a bigger than normal head size which is exacerbated with my wig. So finding the right size maybe difficult. I am going hat shopping in 2017 to add some hats to my wardrobe.

Friday October 7, 2016 - Costume pulled from shelves and new 2017 movie called Split

Finally, both Walmart and Amazon pulled the Tranny Granny Halloween costume. I believe in an open and free market. This allows the market to dictate what is available. It good to see there was enough of an outrage from the public to pull this item. A few posts ago, I talked about public polling toward our community. Its getting better and the future is bright.

To keep it going in the right direct we must monitor the public space to ensure that their are more positive images and less negative images.

Negative images about us are a constant problem, I have a major problem with the new movie, due in early 2017, called Split. Watch the movie trailer below and see what I mean.

Thursday September 29, 2016 - Gender neutral toy commercial.

Growing up in the 1960's, I remember hiding to play with my sister's dolls and playing with makeup and jewelry when no one was home.

This short toy commercial from Smyths Toys in the U.K. shows that toy companies are slowing becoming gender neutral. Over time, these commercials will help mainstream non-gender conforming people. This is good and represents one of the tiny steps forward.

Target eliminated gender based grouping of toys in 2015.

Monday August 29, 2016 - I liked her outfit and loved her hair

Saturday I went inside my bank to make a withdrawal. Usually, I use the ATM, but this was a new account and I lost my temporary card (Darn!). While inside a lady next to me at the counter caught my attention.

She is around my age and was in great shape. I liked her causal outfit with the cut up jeans and the top. I am trying to figure out what type of summer tops I like. Even though the end of the summer is near and I bought a summer top last week, still need at least a couple more.

But what really drew my attention was her hair. I tried to get a picture of her from behind, so I could show  the back length of her hair as it was past her shoulder blades. I loved the color as it was close to mine. The curls added a nice feminine touch. I would like to add a wig that is longer for the cooler months that I can curl.

As I passed her at the counter, I told her that I liked her hair and she smiled saying thank you. I wish I could have asked her how she got her hair like that. But being in boy mode, decided against it. Later I figured I could have said my daughter was looking for a hair style like that and then ask the question.

I sent this picture to my youngest daughter who is a hair expert and wears extensions. She told me that in Atlanta you can get the best work on your hair and that they were probably extensions and not a wig. I told her that I thought it might be a wig but the hairline was so natural. Again my daughter stated that in Atlanta, they have beauticians that can do wonders with lace front wigs and you can not tell.

I am going to check into that.

Thursday August 4, 2016 - Getting Hips

Today I noticed my hips, thighs and butt rounding out. Over the past week, I have been getting some indication that fat was forming in this area. But this morning I woke up and I saw and felt a roundness and softness in the area. It was unmistakable. I am sure there is more growth to go and it feels great.

It is difficult to show this in a picture, but I took some pictures and showed them below.

As I sit writing this, my hips are spreading outward as the fat in the area is pressed out. I just need to get rid of this fat around my stomach. As I begin to workout again, I hope it will reduce my stomach and give me a more hourglass shape.

My body is headed in the right direction. Next Wednesday is my 2 month HRT measurement date. I look forward to see the changes reflected in these measurements.

I am enjoying my trip to Mississippi with my cousins. I will have a post about this trip on Saturday.

But I did have one problem. I forgot my meds. Darn! Luckily, I needed to purchase my August meds and I am using Walmart. So I was able to call my local Walmart and have the prescription transferred to the Walmart down the street from my hotel. I purchased my August meds yesterday.

So I am still on schedule and drinking a lot of water. Its very hot and muggy, so drinking water is a requirement.

Monday July 18, 2016 - Tri-Ess on Phil Donahue in the 1980's. WOW

I remember in my late 20's and early 30's, seeing Phil Donahue talking about "crossdressers". I realized I was not alone and I was a "hetero crossdresser". Watching these shows in the late 1980's helped me tell my parents in 1990, that I was not "cured". By then I was married with two children and I guess they figured, I was OK, just with a fetish.

I joined the Atlanta chapter in 1991 and went to a few meetings every year until 1994. 1994 was the year I spent my first full week an a woman on vacation in Hilton Head, SC. I soon realized I was more than a "hetero crossdresser", so I left Tri-Ess.

But I will always thank Tri-Ess and Phil Donahue for helping come out of that closet.

I am no longer in that closet. I am moving at my own deliberate pace into the public.

Below is a short clip from one of Phil's shows about crossdressers. The words used even in an enlightened environment is so different from today. Some of the audience questions are unbelievable. It shows a different time.

 The technology difference is unbelievable. But I remember those days and outfits.

Wednesday July 13, 2016 - Being on the Internet does not make it true.

I found this infographic about gender realignment, Notice under male-to-female, there is a blue box with alist of items that estrogen will do to your body. Three of the four items are just wrong.

1. Breast Growth - correct
2. Widen hips - wrong - if it assumes bone structre change. The only changes come from fat being  deposited in the hip area. But your bone structure is set and will not change.
3. lessen facial hair - wrong - only electrology and maybe some laser will work
4. change voice - wrong - only practice or surgery will change your voice.
