Friday September 30, 2016 - New Pew Poll has an interesting result.



A new Pew poll asked 4,500 US citizens three questions in an attempt to find out where America stands on Religious Freedom vs LGBT non-discrimination. There are some very interesting results.

One of the issues polled was transgender people and public bathroom use.

QUESTION:
Should transgender people be allowed to use the public restrooms of gender with which they currently identify (I will call this answer ID.)or required to use public restrooms of gender they were born into (I will refer to this answer as Born )?

Over results: 
+5% A majority of americans support our use of public bathrooms, based on our presentation (ID). This is very good

A) When broken down by Transgender type: Public opinion does not differ between the two basic sets of transpeople.

This poll has very good poll results for us. It shows that the more we come out to people we know, the better for our community as a whole. This includes positive images in the media and social networking. If you are deciding whether to come out, remember, it will not only help you but will help everyone.
