Sunday July 30, 2017 - Majority of Americans support Transgender military personnel

Exclusive: Majority of Americans support transgender military service - poll

NEW YORK (Reuters) - A majority of Americans believe that transgender individuals should be allowed to serve in the military, according to an exclusive Reuters/Ipsos opinion poll released on Friday. The July 26-28 poll suggested that the country largely disagrees with President Donald Trump's announcement this week that he will ban transgender personnel from the armed forces.

Saturday July 29, 2017 - Forgot my meds

I am in Memphis, TN, visiting a few clients. DARN, I forgot my meds. I left them on the bed, in my travel med container.

This is why I use a national pharmacy. I use Sam's because of price as a Sam's Plus member. But also because I can get emergency refills at any Sam's.

So this morning I went to Sam's and purchased a set of refills.  I do not want to go a few days without my meds. I am in just a good place mentally, I am afraid to go without them. I admit that I forget get to take my morning pills about once a week. When I  miss my morning pills, I do not double up. I just take my evening meds.

I worry that if I do not take my meds over a long weekend (3/4 days) I might get menopausal symptoms. Also, I worry about my dysphoria coming back and losing my current calm demeanor.

It does not matter if its Sam's, WalMart, Krogers or CVS. Having your prescription with a national pharmacy provides other benefits than just price.

Friday July 28, 2017 - DOJ fights against LGBT protection under anti-discrimination laws

This could impact us in the workplace. Individuals transitioning in the workplace may loose important protections.

DOJ argues sexual orientation not covered by anti-discrimination laws

The Department of Justice (DOJ) is arguing that sexual discrimination protections in the workplace do not extend to sexual orientation. The department filed a 36-page amicus brief late Wednesday in the case Donald Zarda brought against his former employer alleging that he was fired from his job as a skydiving instructor because of his sexual orientation.

Wednesday July 26, 2017 - 40 years for killing a Transwoman.

A Mississippi man was sentenced to 40 years in prison after stabbing a woman 119 times after he learned on a date that she was transgender.

On Thursday, the man, 21-year-old Dwanya Hickerson, pleaded guilty to the murder of Dee Whigham. In addition to the sentence for murder, he will serve 15 years in prison for a robbery charge. He took a plea deal in order to avoid facing the death penalty over the capital murder charge.

Whigham’s mother, Vickie Blackney Whigham, blasted the plea deal, saying, “I think the plea is a slap in the face. He gets a chance to see his family and I don’t have that chance with my child.”

According to Hickerson’s testimony in court, he and Whigham had spoken online for months before deciding to meet up in person on July 23. The two met up at a hotel room, and after having some form of sex, Whigham told Hickerson that she was transgender, at which point, he said, “I lost it.”

According to autopsy results, Whigham was stabbed 119 times, with most of the wounds being on her face. Her throat was also slashed three times.

WLOX-TV reported Jackson County Sheriff’s Deputy Leo Allen saying that Whigham and Hickerson were seen entering the hotel room together, and Hickerson was seen exiting the room 23 minutes later with his shirt around his neck, after having taken a shower.

Tuesday July 25, 2017 - Man Fail

I have to be very aware of my breasts when presenting as a male. I was at my Grandson's birthday party, this past Saturday and a couple of my son-in-laws friends mentioned that I must be gaining weight because I was getting man boobs. These guys have not seen me in about 2 years.

Well, I have had man boobs since a teenager. But it has become harder to hide my growing breasts.

There are three things I must do every time I present as a male.

  1. Wear a racing/sports bra,
  2. Wear a size S female T-shirt that stretches
  3. Wear a lose fitting shirt with two front pockets, and a busy dark print
Sports Bra

Tight T-Shirt

Shirt with 2 front pockets - I do not wear solid color shirts like the one below. I have shirts with dark busy prints.

Monday July 24, 2017 - Tried on my birthday bra set.

Yesterday, I tried on my new bra set. The bra was a 36DD which is a little too big in the cup size. But I like the color, design and lace.

This set is very pretty and I like it.

Sunday July 23, 2017 - Nice Bra set for my birthday.

One good thing about telling people about my transition, is that it allows your friends to show their supporter.

A lady friend of mine, who know of my transition, bought me a beautiful bra and pantie set.

I really appreciate this gift.

It's pretty and a size 36D. I am going to try it on later today and post the picture tomorrow.

Friday July 21, 2017 - Wow, I like my silhouette.

Wednesday, I presented as female, while at home working. I had my new bra and I was surprised at my silhouette, when I walked by a mirror. Below are a couple of photos with my new bra on while presenting as a woman.

The bra has a little padding but this bra really looks good on me.

Thursday July 20, 2017 - Cool animation video about being transgendered.

Today is my 61st birthday. It took the Phil Donahue show in the early 1980's, in my mid 20's, before I knew I was not alone, as a "crossdresser".

It's so nice that the information age, allows people to know earlier in life who they are and that they are not alone.

Here is a cool short animated video about being a trans youth.

Monday July 17, 2017 - Finally found and bought a new bra. Yeah!

I spent part of yesterday hunting for my first nice 36D bra. I bought two new bras a few weeks ago, but I did not like them.

I found and bought a nice 36D bra that is covered with lace. The picture below shows my new grey laced bra.

.

Below are a few pictures me wearing this bra. It feels nice and looks good. I really like this bra. I am having a hard time finding this size the thrift stores I shop.

Sunday July 16, 2017 - Supporting trans rights a political winner?

Vulnerable Republicans Just Showed Why Fighting For Trans Rights Is A Political Winner

Democrats in the House had a rare victory this week when an ugly, discriminatory amendment, backed by House Speaker Paul Ryan and pushed by Vice President Mike Pence, failed because 24 Republicans joined every single Democrat in beating it back. It was a pleasant surprise. And there's an important takeaway.

Thursday July 13, 2017 - Month 13

Below are my current measurements and the change since last month. The picture is followed by an explanation and then a table showing the monthly changes since I began HRT,  on June 10, 2016.

The above chart shows my current measurements and the changes over last month.

From my belly button area down, there was no change from last month.

From my under breast area (Bra band) up, I grew. The biggest growth were my breasts. I must have measured wrong last month. Last month, my breast line measurement going down. But this month I am up 2 inches over last month. That is a big jump. I suspect I was up 1 inch in June to 41" and now I am at 42". This makes sense as my bra cup size is up.

Overall I am happy with my results. As long as I keep my overall size  or  get a little smaller, I am happy. I still need to figure out how to get back into the gym.

Tuesday July 11, 2017 - Feeling less safe?

LGBT Americans Say They Feel Less Safe Under President Trump: Poll

Nearly two-thirds of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people say they feel less safe since President Donald Trump took office because of their sexuality or gender identity, according to a SurveyMonkey poll shared exclusively with TIME. The poll of self-identified members of the LGBT community also found growing cynicism about the nation.

Monday July 10, 2017 - Anti-Trans bill attempt fails

Washington anti-transgender campaign fails for second year in a row

For the second year in a row, conservatives in Washington have f ailed to collect enough signatures supporting their initiative to overturn the state's transgender nondiscrimination protections. Friday was the deadline for "Just Want Privacy," the anti-trans coalition led by the Family Policy Institute of Washington, to submit about 260,000 valid signatures that would place their initiative on the ballot.

Sunday July 9, 2017 - Moving up to 36D

I have decided to make a more concerted effort to buy some 36D bras. I have shopped just s few times in recent weeks and could not find some nice bras  that I liked in that size. I did by 2 nude colored pair, but I did not like them.

I like more colorful and lace covered bras.

Below are two pictures of me in the same bra. You can see from the most recent picture, I am beginning to overflow the 36C bra. I have some very nice 36B and 36C bras. I hate to get rid of them, but I am going to donate the 36B bras just like I did the 36A bras. But I will keep the 36C bras because, once I get  back in the gym, I may lose some  weight and volume

Thursday July 6, 2017 - Transgender Comic Book Anthology

A few weeks ago, I sold my 1960's comic book collection. I grew up an avid comic book reader and collection. I stored my comics in 1974, when leaving for college. In June 2017, I finally decided to sell them along with my baseball cards.

It would have been nice growing up with a transgender anthology comic book. Well, one is comimg soon. You can help with funding thru kickstarter.

Below is a video about the project and a news article.

Wednesday July 5, 2017 - Growing pains

I got back from Orlando last night and went out to see some fireworks. I was sitting with my granddaughter as she marveled at the show. It made me think of all past decades of fireworks, I have seen and where I saw them. From a young child to a teenager. From a young adult to an empty nester. Life is interesting with its ups and down. Overall, I have enjoyed the ride and look forward to future travels.

When I got home and went to bed. Once in the bed, I noticed that my breasts were sore. I could not find a comfortable position, except on my back. My breasts were sore to the touch all over. Normally, they may be sore, if I lay on my stomach. But this time, even on my side they hurt. I had to place a pillow or my hand under them to give me support, if I were on my side.

Also, my nipples were very sensitive. When I was trying to find a good sleeping position, every time I rubbed my nipples up against something I felt electricity run thru me.

I ended up having to sleep on my back.

I think I am going thru another growth spurt. My breasts are getting in the way again. I feel them against my arms and my nightgown felt tight across my chest. I have had this gown for years and always felt comfortable. Its still comfortable, but now its stretching across my chest.

This morning I definitely put on a bra for support. I can tell that the 36D is going to be needed soon. The 36C, I am wearing, is full. It will not take much more before I am "spilling out" of that 36C.

My sports bra, that I wear while in boy mode, no longer hide me. It's the larger shirts with double chest pockets that work. I will need to get some more of these shirts. Also, I need some tight T-shirts to wear under these shirts and over the sports bra.

One recommendation, I will make to anyone considering HRT, remember that there will be changes for years, not months.

Get ready.

Monday July 3, 2017 In Orlando for the 4th

Drove to Orlando yesterday. It is hot down here. I am going to see the Disney fireworks.

I would like to get out today and do some shopping. But I am not sure that is going to happen. We are driving back on Tuesday.

The main reason I came was to help my oldest daughter drive down so that my granddaughter could get her tooth fixed.

So, I am going to work remotely today and maybe find some bras and the local Goodwill.

Saturday July 1, 2017 - Need a tan

I was looking at my pictures from Friday. I need to get some sun on my body. Usually, I would have been to the beach by now. But not this year and my body skin tone is light from a lack of sun. So it makes my face look too dark. I know the foundation color is good, but the face versus my chest skin color are different shades.

It has been raining so much, I have not sun bathed in the backyard. But I am going to get out in the sun over the next 2 weeks.
