Monday January 25, 2016 - Winter dresses

Friday I spent part of my day looking for a winter dress at Goodwill. I could not find one  I liked. Here is my updated Pinterest board of winter dresses I like.

The best one I saw, was a plain sweater dress. I should have bought it along with some colorful scarves to spruce it up. I had the shoes and jewelry.

Wednesday January 13, 2016 - There seem to be so many of us.

Back in the 1960's as I struggled in my youth (under 14) with "crossdressing", I thought I was the only one. Then in the early 1970's, my cousin came out. The family was not supportive as he was thrown into the streets.

The appropriate labels were unknown to me. I heard gay and crossdresser. Those were the better names.

It was not until the Phil Donahue show in the 1980's, when he began to interview heterosexual crossdressers that I knew I was not alone.

Now with acceptance growing and the internet allowing us to network, it seems there are millions of us. I have read attempts to determine our population. But who knows and I do not care.

But we are many. Here is a Pinterest board showing our beautiful community. I added a few pictures of myself.

Tuesday December 15, 2015 - Winter may show up

I can not believe how warm it is. It does not feel like a few days until Christmas. I need to get some decorations up.

Growing up in NJ, you associate cold with Christmas. I remember my mother demanding (lol) a fire at night and the hot chocolate. At 60+ degrees, it feels like spring or fall.

We use to take the train, the day after Christmas to West Palm Beach, Florida for a "second" Christmas day with my maternal grandparents. It was hot and we use to go to the beach. I would tell my parents that this was just not Christmas. It feels like that this Christmas in Atlanta.

Today, I was thinking about my winter wardrobe. I need to learn how to add sweaters to my winter dresses. It can be a nice look, if done right. I do not like those outfits with a skinny belt.

I found this cool free site for creating a clothing outfit board. It's call polyvore. I tried it out the other day.

I signed up for free and created a nice outfit. I like this free web service because I can play around and create outfits and then shop to bring that outfit to life.

See my creation below. I still need to learn about this service but I am pleases with my first attempt.

Tuesday October 6, 2015 - Winter is coming

Its getting cooler in Atlanta. With all of the rain from the current offshore hurricane, it makes me think about my winter outfits.

I find it funny that I will wear my male clothes year after year. I still have many shirts that are too big for me pre-2011, when I was 60+ lbs heavier. I still wear them once in a while.

But my female clothes. I look forward to updating them every season. I expect to completely change my female season wardrobe every two years buy changing and adding to the wardrobe every season.

I love to find pretty sweater and skinny jeans to go with my flats. I do have a couple of boots this year. I bought a pair late last winter and my daughter bought me a pair for my birthday.

This winter season, I am going to add a sweater dress with a pair of skinny jeans.

Tuesday September 8, 2015 - Fall Femboy Tops

It is still warm in Atlanta, but the fall is coming. I have started looking for new fall Femboy blouses. It is hard for me to find that special top that is more feminine but not too feminine.

Last year I had a few female shirts that had a more male appearance. This year I want to have a slightly more feminine appearance. But again, not too feminine.

I like fall colors with a lower hemline and longer sleeves. I do not want the fabric to be too thick or its closer to a sweater. The neckline can vary depending on the overall style of the top.

I created a Pinterest board to get an idea of what blouses I like or do not like.

After reviewing my board, I think I like two basic types: a long Tunic and a shirt with a pretty sweater.

It is going to take me a full day or two of shopping multiple Goodwill stores to find just a few fall blouses I like.

One of this things I love about being a women is developing your style. I notice that I have a certain style which is simple but classy. I like to mix and match but my palettes are simple and my outfits are basic. That may change with experience and time.

Thursday June 18, 2015 - Summer Dresses

I love summer time. The hot weather and colorful landscape makes we want to get out and show off all of that hard work keeping the weight off.

Dresses are my favorite attire. However, I am currently not able to get out in woman mode and wear dresses. I am still in Femboy and male modes as I transition my income stream.

Sometimes around the house I will dress up. But it will be 2016 before I am out in woman mode.

Unitil then, I need to learn and practice hair, makeup and voice.

In the meanwhile I have a Pinterest board of the dresses I like best.

Monday May 4, 2015 - My summer femboy tops

Its is finally warming up. Most of my femboy tops are for the winter and I have a few spring tops. Now it's time to find tops for the long hot summer.

I have some nice skinny jeans for the summer and I am going to add a few capri pants. I especially want a white pair.

I have a few items that I can start with. But I need to fill out my wardrobe.

I am going to start this week. This is the fun part, finding those unique pieces that will build out my summer wardrobe.

Monday March 30, 2015 - Susan's Wedding

Have you ever thought about your wedding as the bride?

I always wanted a beach wedding. Being in Hilton Head brought back memories of  my future wedding. I love the beach, the sound of the surf, the smell and overall scenery.

If it were in Hilton Head, it would be at the Island Club resort and in either June or September. The weather and water are warm and there is usually not that much rain.

I love women shoes because of the different styles and colors. They allow you to express yourself and they complete an outfit. My shoe collection would be large, if I was in girl mode full-time. Not as many as the infamous Imelda Marco from the Philippines. She had over 3,000 pair and there is a museum for her shoes.

Sunday February 22, 2015 - When it's cold, think of spring.

When its cold outside, I usually think about spring and the beach. Today I am going to share my pin board of spring dresses. I love spring because it means winter and the cold are behind us and summer is around the corner. Even though I do not wear dresses in public....yet, I love them.
