Monday October 26, 2015 - NFL Texan owner rescinded donation

Bob McNair, owner of the NFL Texans rescinded his $10,000 donation to the group opposing the HERO Houston ordinance. The Houston Equal Rights Ordinance (HERO), is measure to protect Houston residents and visitors from discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity.

I  suspect one reason, Mr. McNair is backing off is because of the negative blowback he has received. He has realized that this is a bad business decision. Here is a link to a high school student's letter to Mr. McNair. This student is a Texan fan and......gay.

As usual, the opposition is using the bathroom scare tactic as one reason to vote against this measure.

The opposition knows that this is a weak point in the LGBT community. They can use fear among people about men in the women's bathroom as a reason to vote this down.

Therefore, its up to us to counter that issue by strategies like the the bathroom selfies.

Voting for the HERO ordinance is next week and polling looks good. However, turnout is the key.

One good way to support HERO is to donate to Houston Unites which is the grassroots organization that supports this ordinance.

Here is a local news article about the rescinded donation.
