Monday October 3, 2016 - Public opinions polls

The chart and data table below, show PEW polling results from 2001 to 2016. In 2011, public opinion  toward same-sex marriage changed. Obama made his stance know in 2012.

However public opinion about Transgender rights lag far behind.

One reason is that few people know a transgender person.

Why is that important?
Because people who personally know a transgender person, are more supportive.

However, Corporate America is further ahead in Transgender inclusion and support than the general public. This data is from a 2015 HRC research study of Corporate America.

Among the Fortune Top 20, 11 (55%) scored a 100%.

Also young people provide a tremendous reservoir of support.

With young people (our future) and Corporate America leading in Transgender support, The community environment is getting and will continue to improve. Based on my prediction of  the 2016 Presidential Election, we will continue to gain  support within the community in 2017.
