Sunday November 12, 2017 - End of HRT Month 17

Below are my current measurements and the change since last month. The picture is followed by an explanation and then a table showing the monthly changes since I began HRT,  on June 10, 2016.

The above chart shows my current measurements and the changes over last month.

From my hips up to my above the breast area, I grew. I think that is due to my poor eating habits while on Metformin. My Above the breast and breast line grew a little faster. I hope that was due to the increased Estradoil. Or it could be that the area has more fat cells and grows faster when gaining weight.

My thigh area continues to shrink while my hip area grows due to fat placement. Its giving me a rounder and bigger rear end look.

I am not going to get back on Metformin in November. I am going to try two new natural items: Almonds and natural honey from a bee farm.

If these two items do not work, then I may return to Metformin.

Saturday November 11, 2017 - Had Blood work completed at my Dr's office

Friday, I have to take a blood test. My HRT medicine regime was changed 30 days ago by my Doctor. He wanted me to try medformin, a diabetes medicine to help lower my daily blood sugar level and A1C.

It seems that HRT can make my A1C and daily glucose level higher. By just making changes to my eating habits, I have been able to lower my A1C and daily sugar level from 11.25 to 8.2 in one year.

So I told him I would try it for 30 days. It did lower my levels but it provided me a crutch that allows me to eat more junk food. Over the past 30 days, my levels decreased slightly into the 120-150 range (from 150-180), but my weight increased slightly, as I ate more read and other carbs.

I went to the Dr's office and also requested my blood work from my previous 5 blood tests. I am going to keep track of my levels, just like I do with my body changes.

After the Dr's visit, I went to a Beauty Supply store, CVS and convenience store.

My appointment was at 10:30 am and I was home by 3:00 pm. I was treated as a lady at all three stores and the correct pronouns were used.

Here are a couple more pictures from yesterday.

I wore a lilac sweater top with grey skinny jeans and a brown based multi-color pair of flats.

I could tell from  how my top fit me, that I pcked up a few pounds. I could see a slight muffin top around my waist.

I have decided not to go back in the gym, but to walk and jog instead.

It was cool in Atlanta this morning, so I added my brown coat, I bought In New Jersey  from Goodwill, as a femboy.

I can believe I bought this coat over 2 years ago.

The coat helped cover my me muffin top. Its back to a strict eating habit and daily walking.

Sunday November 5, 2017 - Dating A Transperson

The Ridiculous Straight Panic Over Dating a Transgender Person

I want to make something clear right off the bat: Not everyone needs to date a transgender person. For one, there's not enough of us to go around. In all seriousness, though, I have to put that disclaimer at the front of this essay because the online discourse machine has a nasty habit of misinterpreting transgender people who try to talk about the struggles of finding romance.

Saturday November 4, 2017 - What a bummer.

I have been fighting diabetes while on HRT.  I have been  reading some scientific studies and discovered that HRT is an additional a reason why I have not been successful in getting my blood sugar consistently in the normal range.

However, I have dropped my A1C number down from 11.25 to 8.2. I need to get under 7 to be considered pre-diabetic and under 6 to be non-diabetic.

The main negative affect of HRT is reduced testosterone which leads to reduced muscle mass and more resistance to insulin.

I am going to request from my Dr., my previous 5 blood tests. I have my latest one (June 29, 2017).  I have asked but not received yet, my older blood test results. I started getting these test in August 2015 when  I started using my Dr. and told him I wanted to start HRT 10 months before I wanted  to start.

A recent study showed that Metformin reduces T levels. This maybe why my doctor told me I could reduce my Spiro. I have since reduced it to zero and I suspect my T levels are lower now than when under Spiro at 200 mg.

I do not want to take Metformin because it is causing me to relax my strict eating, which I feel is causing weight gain. However, I am going to stay on it until Friday Nov 10th. It will have been 1 month so I an due a blood text. I would like to see the results. But afterward, I will go stop taking Metformin and add Spiro back.

For my diabetes, I am going back to a strict eating habit and weight training. I am going to find a trainer who works with Transwoman to stay learn and keep some muscles while under HRT for transwoman..

Monday October 30, 2017 - I am changing

It's HRT month 17, and I am changing. I seem to be settling in and its getting hard for me find things to write about. I no longer have that internal drive to dress.

HRT affects everyone differently. For me, it has stopped my dysphoria. My body has adjusted to the meds and the results are very good. Mentally, I like where I am and how I feel.

But it makes it difficult for me to find subject' matter to post because it's not something I think about that much anymore.

I have not purchased any new (or used) woman clothes or shoes in months. I tried to get out and shop for my female wardrobe, but I do not really care.

I just might wear something cute, from my closet because I feel like it. But it's not a driving force.

I can now concentrate more on business and social activities without feeling stressed, upset or envious.

I have learned to not fail too much when presenting as a man. But I really do not care. I feel great and I know I look great. That is what matters.

I need to update my perfume. I have worn Elizabeth Taylor's Passion for ever. Probably at least 2 decades. Its time for me to find that "perfect" perfume for Susan at 60+ with an "estrogen body".

Below is a short video on how to find that perfume. I personally like water. I want to retire around water and my vacations include water (beach, pool or lake). So I am going to shop for a new perfume this month.

Tuesday October 24, 2017 - Busy weekend

I did not post this past Saturday or Sunday. I was so busy working. But I did had some fun.

I went to my first haunted house. It was not a "house" but an old warehouse turned into a "prison"  which was taken over my evil spirits and crazy people.

They did a good job with the special effects. Especially the guy running around with the chainsaw.

One of the patients tied to the wall in the hospital wing.

He was walking around looking for the entrance into the prison and escorted you in.

Sometime, you just need a break and have some fun.

Friday October 13, 2017 - Doctor's Appointment

Today I had my quarterly Dr.'s appointment. It went very well and I am very excited.

First, my readies were fine. Even my A1C readings were down from a very poor 11.5 to an 8.2. On the same day, I had taken a home test which came in at 8.0. So I will start using  the home test monthly.

I was given the option to change my daily medicine dosage. My prescription for estradiol was doubled, so I can increase from 4 mg to 8 mg over the next month, to see what feels best for me. Also, I can adjust my spironolactone down to 100 mg. In doing both, I can adjust my internal mixture of male/female hormones that feels best for me.

Finally, I was told to start getting an annual mammogram. He recommended Planned Parenthood. I am so exciting to finally have to get one. Its like a stamp of womanhood.

I was finished within an hour and walked out on cloud nine. Everything I wanted to accomplish with this appointment occurred.

  1. My A1C readings are coming down. I need to be in the 5.0 - 6.0 range. I think I can get there by early 2018.
  2. I can adjust my medication. So, I am going to start getting my own test, to see what mixture works best for me.
  3. I need a mammogram!!!
Below are a couple of additional pictures.

Thursday October 12, 2017 - End of 16 Mo HRT measurements

Below are my current measurements and the change since last month. The picture is followed by an explanation and then a table showing the monthly changes since I began HRT,  on June 10, 2016.

The above chart shows my current measurements and the changes over last month.

From my hips up, my size went down. Now that I have my diabetes under control thru diet, I am beginning to control my calories again, and my size is going down.

I do not know why my shoulder measurements went down so much. Unless, I measured wrong.

I think my above breast and breast line went down, not because they are smaller, but that the shape is changing. I think they are "sagging" more. They are getting harder to hind as a male and still filling out 36D bras. They are also moving more.

My under breast and waist went down. I would love to have those two numbers equal out. Maybe my waist come down to a 34 to match my under breast number. That is a nice goal.

Overall, I am keeping my weight and size under control, while controlling my diabetes.

Some of these measurement changes could be due to poor consistency when measuring. However the longer term trends which show in the table below are consistent.

Dealing with the same subject, "Boy" is so determined not to be sensational or bleak that it bleaches itself of troubling complexity.

Tuesday October 10, 2017 - What a weekend.

I have been away a few day and I miss posting. It's been over a decade since I worked  that hard. I had a client that needed help. So, between Thursday and Monday, I worked thru the night twice and slept maybe 5 hours each of the other nights.

When I was in my 30's and 40's, I use to work 2 or 3 days straight without sleep. But in my 60's, it was rough.

Anyway its over, I finished Monday and emailed the report. I slept hard last night, about 9 hours.

Today, I am going to pamper myself and present female. I need to clean up around the house and wash clothes. After all that pressure, I feel comfortable and relaxed.

My Dr. had to reschedule my quarterly appointment until this past Friday. I had to reschedule again for this Friday.I can not wait to talk to him about some issues I am thinking about. The main issue is, ..... what is my ultimate goal under HRT? I want to discuss options.

Today is the start of  Month 17 on HRT.  Wow.

Monday October 2, 2017 - Feeling Strange Today

I woke up this morning and my body feels "off". I do not feel my breasts aching or moving  this morning. I did not have that weighty feeling from them, that has me running to my bra draw.

I just started (last Wednesday) a new bottle of the same prescription. I do not know if this is a normal cycle I am going thru or if the batch of meds are not good.

I is bothering me today, so I am going to bring this up with my Doctor on Thursday. But before Thursday, I am going to call the office nurse.

Sunday October 1, 2017 - Tough night sleeping

Friday night I had a rough night trying to sleep. I now get these restless nights where my body does not calm down enough for me to go to sleep. I am up and might nap a little, then I am back up.

Usually, this includes my beasts becoming very sensitive. Friday night was no different. They were so sensitive last night, it was tough for me to even sleep on my side. I slept on my stomach with a pillow on my breasts or I was on my back.

I have a doctor's appointment Thursday and I am going ask him about this.

Saturday, September 30, 2017

Saturday September 30, 2017 - Friday was a busy day.

My phone broke yesterday morning and it messed my whole day up. It did not physical brake. It just died because I maxed out the memory, so it was dropping calls and running too slow. I had been working with it for months, but my tricks no longer worked.

I had to buy a new phone, but I hate paying more for my phone than my computer. By the time I found the phone I wanted, transferred all my contact and set the new phone up, I was way behind in my work. So I missed publishing my post yesterday.

I went shopping Thursday for bras, panties and stretch T-shirts. I did find two colorful regular bras at the thrift store, but both had wrinkled cups. I suspect those wrinkles were from washing and drying the bra incorrectly. (SEE: How to properly care for your bra).

I went to two Goodwill Stores and found 1 nice T-shirt. I like buying Extra Small or Petite Small. These tops have already been stretched from previous use and the smaller tops still have enough compression for me. I saw many Small to Large sizes, but like bras, I need to take my time and find the right one.

I am just adding to my collection, so I can be patient.

Finally, I could not figure out my next move on panties. I use to like to buy the same style in multiple colors. The last change I made was before the 2008 economic collapse. I bought Victoria Secret's Emma style. I am not going to pay that much money again. So I am going to need more time to hunt for a new style at a store like Kolhs.

Today, I am going to put in a full day at the office. I am behind in my schedule. So I will hunt for a new panty collection later.

Thursday September 28, 2017 - Going Shopping

I have a busy day. But I am going to take out some time to go shopping. I need to upgrade four areas in my wardrobe:

  1. Some new sports bras. My current ones are looking old and tattered. Some of them are stretched and no longer hold me in like they us to. The newer one will provide more support.
  2. Always looking for cute 36D bras
  3. Need a few more tight stretch T-Shirts made by Nike or other sports apparel firms. They help me when presenting as a male.
  4. New panties. My current one are getting old and tattered. I like buying the same type but in different colors that match my bras (both regular and sports).
I will let you know what I find. Next Thursday is my quarterly Dr. appointment.

Sunday September 24, 2017 - My workout

Wow, it has been awhile since I worked out and it showed. I had been working out 3/4 days a week since March 2010. But I stopped about 1 year ago to work on my diabetes and start my HRT. After about 6 months on HRT, I stopped going to the gym.

I definitely male failed, but I did not care. I stopped at the gas station to get a free cup of ice water. It was crowded around the cashier. As I walked by the crowd, this guy looked me up and down and watched me as I walked to the soda fountain. No one else gave me a second look.

I has no issues in the gym as I still use the men's dressing room.

I started with 10 minutes on the stairmaster. I use to complete 45 minutes at level 10. Today, 10 minutes at level 8 had we sweating.

I moved to the 10 station 30-minute weight system. I had not done this before, so I used just 55 lbs and completed 12 reps per machine.

Finally, I completed 30 minutes on the elliptical machine. I use to complete 60 to 180 minutes on the elliptical machine at a level 10. I used Level 8 today.

I felt really good, the rest of the day. I am going to slowly build back up and go 3 days a week.

Saturday September 23, 2017 - Back to the gym

This morning I am going back to the gym. Its been months, and I need to get back to working out. I would like to lose some weight (about 10 lbs). But I also want to see what long-term cardio and weight lifting will do for my glucose levels and overall health.

I can still get into my size 8/10 clothes, but they are tight is some ares due to either HRT growth or too many net calories.

I suspect I will lose some breast size (boo), but would like my measurements to be in the mid to low 30' with my breast line at 40"+.

Today is a test to see how out-of-shape I am. I will not overdue it. Below is a picture of me on September 25, 2016 and today (September 23, 2017). It's the same outfit.

Friday September 22, 2017 - Bra shopping

Yesterday was a very busy day for me. But I took some time to shop for some additional bras. I only have two 36D bras and I need some more.

I found and bought 2 bras yesterday, while in boy mode. The mode I am in, no longer bothers me when shopping for male or female clothes. Who cares, I will not see these people again. Also people are so busy on their technology to worry about what I am buying.

Only when in girl mode and buying something pretty, will another woman take notice and compliment me. The clerk just wants to sell items. If they make a comment about a "guy" buying a feminine item, I just ignore the comment and pay.

For example, the clerk might say, ".... is this for your wife, I think she will like it." My response is ".... How much is this item again?"

I like this bra because of the color and the pretty butterfly print. The cups have a lower cut which exposes more breasts and would work well with a top/dress that has a lower neckline. This bra cost $3.49 at the thrift store.
This is a pretty feminine bra with the pink bows at the base of the strap. I like the black and pink flower print. The cups provide more coverage. I will wear this under tops/dresses with a higher neckline. This bra cost $4.49 at the same thrift store.

I found a few solid color bras in my size, but I like colorful, pretty and feminine bras. I know I will need a white and black solid color bra, but they need to have lace on them. I have not found one of those yet.

Wednesday September 20, 2017 - The effect of HRT on crosssdressing

Below is an old article (2009) about a Doctor's thoughts on HRT and its impact. I found this article very enlightening because it relates to what is happening to me.

I always thought that once I started HRT, it was my last step toward womanhood and 24/7 presenting. I spent 6 years getting ready by losing weight (keeping it off), electrology (4 years) and feeling comfortable presenting as a feminine boy.

I figured I would become attracted to men and have a boyfriend.

To my surprise, this did not happen. Instead, I found a happiness, and calmness that that came with an elimination of the dysphoria and a need to present female. I still do, but only once in a while.

I now enjoy presenting as a male, for the first time. I wish my Dad was alive to see his wish that his oldest son now enjoys buying male clothes and looking good in a suit jacket with matching shirt and tie. I now own 5 pair on men's shoes. I NEVER owned more that 2 pair at once.

I enjoy my new body and overall look. The drive to buy and wear female clothes is gone and my desire to be a 24/7 woman is not there. I still like to dress and shop. But not nearly as often and the drive is not there. I can know spend more time on my business, which is very busy and moving in a very good direction.

I have wondered, if I stopped HRT, would I return to the dysphoria and anxiety?

This article discusses is issue with two case studies.

Monday September 18, 2017 - Male Fail

This morning I had an important business meeting. So I was I boy mode. Waiting in the lobby, one of my associates commented on how I must be working out because my "upper body" looked more defined.

This was an interesting comment because I saw this same person Saturday, during a property inspection. On Saturday, I wore my sports bra and tight T-shirt, under a shirt and sweater. Today, I did not have a clean tight T-shirt to wear.

So, I must be reaching a point where a sports bra alone does not work while in boy mode. I must always wear a tight T-shirt, to keep be from failing as a male while in boy mode.

Sunday September 17 - , 2017 - Mood swings on HRT

Today is a down day for me. Its cloudy, overcast and I do not feel very feminine today. My body feels dead. It.s part of a cycle I seem to be go thru. Not like a woman's menstrual cycle but like my dsyphoria cycle during my pre-HRT days.

I use to have strong and weak periods of gender dsyphoria.  My crossdressing desires moved along with my dsyphoria.

Now its more of strong vs weak femininity day. 10 days ago, I wrote a post about that day being a "strong" feminine day, as I presented female. Today is a "weak" feminine day. I feel "blah" and not very attractive.

Part of this mood maybe due to a tremendous amount of work and stress that I am under. Its going to be difficult to post every day, for the next month. I just took on two large assignments with short deadlines.

It's been a few years since I took on this much work at one time. 20 years ago, it was no problem, but now at 61, I will see.

I remember when my Mom would have these days in which she would go out and pamper herself.

I may present more days as a female, in an attempt to reduce the stress level. I may even go to my electrologist for a cleanup appointment. I still need to shave off a few remaining hair whiskers every 7 to 10 days.

Maybe a nice pedicure and shopping might help. Plus I am determined to get back into the gym. Even, if its just a couple of days a week for about 1 hour.

I will keep you posted over the next 30-45 days of this stressful work period.

Saturday September 16, 2017 - Congressional bill to protect Transgender military personnel.

HRC Hails Introduction of Bill Protecting Transgender Troops | Human Rights Campaign

Today, Senators Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY), Susan Collins (R-ME), John McCain (R-AZ), and Jack Reed (D-RI) announced the introduction of legislation to protect currently-serving transgender service members from being discharged. The bipartisan legislation is based on an amendment to National Defense Authorization Act introduced by Senators Gillibrand and Collins that was blocked yesterday by Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) despite likely majority, bipartisan support in the chamber.

Friday September 15, 2017 - Gender Voice test

WEB SITE: http://voice-primaryobjects.rhcloud.com/

Cut/Paste this .wav file into the above web site to see results. Give the site a few seconds to analyze the file.

This web site will test your voice and determine its gender based on:

Voice Tips and Tricks
- Pitch, combined with intonation (the rise and fall of the voice in speaking), are important factors in classifying male versus female.
- Male classified voices tend to be low and within a narrow range of pitch (ie., relatively monotone).
- Female classified voices tend to be higher in pitch and fluctuate frequency to a much greater degree.
- Female classified voices often rise in frequency at the end of a sentence, as if asking a question.

How does it work?

This application uses a method of artificial intelligence, called machine learning, to determine the gender of a voice.

The program was trained on a dataset of 3,168 voice samples, split between male and female voices. By analyzing the acoustic properties of the voices, the program is able to achieve 89% accuracy on the test set.
