I am now more motivated than ever to get my body weight down. So I have started cutting back on junk food. With my daughter, 2 grandchildren and son-in-law moving this weekend, the junk food will leave too.
I am going to start working out more. I slacked off the last 2 months. So Monday, I started back in the gym. I completed 30 minutes on the stairmaster and 60 minutes on the elliptical.
Yesterday, I wore my pink outfit with a yellow/orange T-Shirt underneath. Is it me or does this picture show a larger chest. I was wearing my sports bra. I think its the lighting.
Its only been a few days and I have read that it takes about three months for the breasts to start growing. But my underlying base seems slightly bigger and my breasts a little rounder and fuller.
I had a good workout. One reason might be the water I am drinking during the day. I know I need to drink more water, but I could not bring myself to drink that much water.
Now I have a reason as the Spiro is a diuretic and my Doctor told me to drink more water. I have decided to take my 20 oz mason jar and fill it seven times during the day.
My goal is to exercise five days a week. I am going to add the treadmill as a third option.

Monday February 22, 2016 - Rough Day
The rain woke me up this morning. Its now a cloudy day as it raining heavy last night. It's been kind of warm this winter in Atlanta. But the weather is helping me feel down this morning. Part of it is the weather but I also have a lot of work to complete today. Finally my dysphoria is kicking in. I think the dysphoria is due to the letdown from missing my Susan weekend.
The is suppose to pay me and the other consultant this week. If so, I can travel this weekend and enjoy the adventure.
What I am going to do today, is take about 90 minutes and have some Femtime. First, I am going to take a bath and body shave. Then I am going to work on my finger nails while watching some makeup videos..
Finally I am going to put on something soft and pretty while adding some makeup to lounge in.
This will make me much more productive for the day.

Monday February 1, 2016 - Some Femtime
Sunday, I had the day to myself for about 6 hours. I had only a few hours sleep Saturday night because I am working on a new project.
I remember when I was in middle school and high school, I would love having the house to myself so I could try on my mother's and sister's clothes.
Well now 40 years later, I take some time to keep my body feminine. I have talked about my various routines I do every day or every week to stay feminine. This allows me to get dressed quicker and to stay as feminine as I can every day.
So I decided to take a hot bath and complete a body shave. Now that my belly button piecing is healing, I can take a bath again. After my bath and shave, I use baby oil to lotion my body. I them put on a nice pink fluffy robe and cleaned my belly button ring surrounding area. Just to make sure I do not get it infected.
I then got dressed. I put on a nice white sweater and green skinny jeans. I added green ballerina flats along with green and white jewelry.
I wanted to play round with my makeup, but I can not shave and my whiskers are too long to adequately apply makeup. So next weekend I will experiment with my makeup.
I did try a couple of hairstyles.
I always enjoy spending some quality feminine time. It really helps my dysphoria.

Wednesday December 30, 2015 - A diet/exercise routine for MTF transition
I do this with both diet and exercise. However, I have been worried about how to control my figure, once I begin HRT (Hormone Replacement Therapy).
The following is the best explanation and analysis, I have read of how to use diet and exercise to sculpture a more feminine figure during transition.
It took me 18 months to lose the weight. My goal was not to lose a certain amount of weight but to reduce my waistline, get healthy and fit into an old pair of female jeans. Those jeans some how made thru two female clothes purges.
My waist started at 45" inches and ended up at 28". It is now, 7 years later and my waist is about 35". I do not weigh myself. I have no scale. As long as my clothes fit and I can still wear a size 10, I am ok.
I would like to stay at 32" because a 28" waist made me look too small with a big head. I looked like a cartoon character. Lol
This not a diet but a lifestyle change.
Workout/Diet/Caloric Intake/Macronutrient Ratio
Workout Routine:
Let's see 6 sets of squats 155lbs 5 sets leg press 300lbs 4 sets lunges with dumbbells 15 minutes stairmaster 4 sets leg curls 4 sets leg extensions 4 sets kickbacks for glutes 4 sets adductor 4 sets abductor 30 minutes incline speed walk 30 minutes jogging

I also neglected all upper body weights to let my upper body atrophy.
Diet:
I eat only certain types of foods.
Protein: chicken breast, Turkey breast and protein shake
Carbs: oatmeal, brown rice, whole wheat bread, whole wheat pasta, black beans, apples, oranges, grapefruit, strawberries, blackberries, blueberries, honey for sweetener, broccoli, spinach, black olives, onions, garlic, salads with extra Virginia olive oil and vinegar.
Fats: peanut butter all natural, almonds, extra Virginia olive oil, avocados
What not to eat: no processed sugars, no stevia or artifical sweeteners, soda, candy, salad dressings they are absolutely horrible, maple syrup, white bread or pasta, bagels, donuts, no chips at all even the healthy ones avoid them, cookies, nutrition grain or protein or health bars they are absolutely terrible and high in sugar no granola bars either.
Basically if it's processed avoid it like the plague.
Daily Caloric Intake and Macronutrient Ratio:
Body Weight: 150 Body Fat%: 21
Body Fat Weight:
Body Weight minus total body mass= 150 x .21(two decimal place to left)=31.5 lbs
Lean Body Mass:
Body Weight minus Body Fat Weight= 150 -31.5 = 118.5 lbs
Basal Metabolic Rate(BMR):
Lean Mass times 10= 118.5 x 10 = 1185 calories per day- the bare minimum required to maintain life
Activity Level Value Activity Level Description:
1.2 Sedentary Little to no exercise
1.375 Light 1-3 days per week
1.55 Moderate 3-5 days per week
1.725 Active 6-7 days per week
1.9 Active Intense job and exercise
1.375 Light 1-3 days per week
1.55 Moderate 3-5 days per week
1.725 Active 6-7 days per week
1.9 Active Intense job and exercise
Total Calorie Intake Formula:
BMR x Activity Level + BMR = Total Calorie Intake per day to maintain weight 1185 x .5 + 1185 = 1777.5 Calories to Maintain My Weight
To lose 1 lb = 3500 calories need to be lost
So, in general, if you cut 500 calories from your typical diet each day, you'd lose about 1 pound a week (500 calories x 7 days = 3,500 calories).
1777.5 - 500= 1277.5 Calories to lose 1lb per week.
1777.5 + 500= 2277.5 Calories to gain 1lb per week.
I would recommend that if you are trying to lose weight, it’s best to ‘lose’ the calories through exercise than cutting your nutrition.
An hour on an upright cycle, or 40 minutes of intense weight training will easily burn 500 calories, and yet your body will still have received the necessary amount of calories to function optimally.

Macro Nutrient Ratios: Protein/Carbs/Fats:
1) FTM Muscle Gain: 40% 45% 15%
2) Fat Loss: 48% 32% 20%
3) MTF Muscle Loss, Fat Gain (Good Fat): 15% 65% 20%
For MTF
Continue 3) until you reach your goals, then switch to 2) for a healthier ratio overall this is enough protein to keep your body functioning while your muscles atrophy.
1 Gram of Fat= 9 calories
1 Gram of Protein= 4 calories
1 Gram of Carbs= 4 calories
Based on 1,777.5 daily caloric intake
Protein intake - .15 *1,777.5 = 266.6 Calories of Protein/4 calories = 66 grams per day
Carbs intake - .65 * 1,777.5 = 1,154 Calories of Carbs/4 Calories = 288.51 grams per day
Fat intake - .20 * 1,777.5 = 355.5 Calories of Fat/9 calories = 39.5 grams per day
Protein intake - .15 *1,777.5 = 266.6 Calories of Protein/4 calories = 66 grams per day

Thursday October 29, 2015 - Feeling Good
I do not look like the photo on the left, yet, but I can get there. Just wait until 6 to 9 months on HRT.
I changed my workout routine last month. I am warming up with 15- 20 minutes on the stairmaster. Followed by 60 minutes to 120 minutes on the elliptical machine. My goal is 6 to 7 hours per week on the elliptical and 1 hour on the stairmaster.
The slow cardio burning is having an impact because my racing bras are feeling lose around the band. I think I am finally burning upper body muscle. It takes a long slow burn with long time cardio sessions to reach that muscle burning stage. The two hour sessions appear to be doing that.
Also, I started making home smoothies that I eat/drink after each workout. I make a simple smoothie with:
- 1 cup of raw strawberries or raspberries
- 1 cup of 2% milk
- 1/2 cup of vanilla yogurt
- 1 tablespoon of vanilla protein power
My grandkids hate the drink because there is not enough sugar. I love it.
I have noticed in the last week that my energy level is up and the amount of calories burned per hour has increased. I know that these machines overestimate the amount of calories burned. But I use the number as a gauge over time, to see how much effort I am using.
In the late 2010 and throught 2011, I could "burn" 800 calories per hour. But over the past couple of years, 720 calories per hour was good. This summer, I was having trouble reaching 700 and sometimes I was in the 680 to 700 calorie per hour range.
However, over the past week, I am back in the 790 to 810 calorie per hour range and I can do that for the total two hour period. As a matter of fact, I find 1 hour of cardio is a warm up and I am ready for that second hour. I am having no problem with the 2 hour session. I might try three hours this Sunday while watching the NFL game, just to see how I perform.
In the meanwhile, my clothes are getting loose. My scale broke, so I have not weighted myself, but I feel great and appear to look thinner.

Sunday September 27, 2015 - Susan needs some time.
I have been busy this past week and my femininity feels neglected. I would not say its dysphoria, its just as I look in the mirror, I see signs of neglect.
My finger nails need work. I have not had my bi-weekly body shave and I have stubble all over. Yuck.
My face could use a lemon facial and my body needs a good moisturizing.
So, late Saturday afternoon, I decided to take sometime to work on me.
I went to the gym for a 75 minute workout. I could have gone longer and felt a need to workout longer, but the gym closes early on weekends. Darn.
After my workout, I took a nice bubble bath and shaved. While in the bath, I watched some Youtube videos on makeup. Next, I took a quick shower to make sure all that shaved hair was off of my body. Then I moisturized my whole body.
Afterward, I felt great and feminine. So I completed a lemon facial which really smooths out my face.
I put on a nice cute night gown and went downstairs to watch some TV. While watching TV, I took off my clear nail polish, buffed and shaped my nails and then reapplied a couple of coats of clear nail polish.
Now, I look and feel much better. I feel more relaxed and connected to my femininity.
I will be ready for my Tuesday Femboy day out.

Sunday September 13, 2015 - Work Out
I have been working so hard and not eating as well as I should. So with the start of the NFL, I decided to have a heavy workout day.
I need to get my weight back under control.
First I need to get back to working out four days a week. Two of those days at 60 minutes and two days at least 90 minutes of cardio.
Second, I will use myfitnesspal phone app to count my daily calories at 1,770 per day.
Third, weight myself daily at the same time on the same scale.
Forth, measure parts of body with a tape measurer, once a month to tract my long-term goals.
Fifth, I will print a monthly calendar to tract my exercise, daily calories and weight.
The best way for me to accomplish a goal is to set these tasks and follow it daily.

Wednesday August 12, 2015 - Yesterday worked out OK
I has an old College friend and his wife visit yesterday. So I had to reschedule my Femboy day. I had fun reminiscing about 40 years ago. I remember when my parents use to do that. I thought they were so old talking about 40 year old events.
Darn, I must be getting old. But like I say, its better than the alternative.
Well after they left, I decided to take some feminine time. First I went to the gym. I had not been in a week due to my travel schedule. But I needed it.
I wore a pink and grey outfit. The grey outer shirt was long with multi-color words printed down the right side. The pink color that matched my leggings was in the print.
After I finished 75 minutes of cardio, I went home and took a nice warm bubble bath and shaved.
After my shave, I took a shower to make sure all hair clippings were removed. Then, I completed my daytime (even though it was night) body lotion routine. I did not get to complete my morning routine because of company arriving early. So I felt like doing it last night.
Once I was clean, smooth, soft and smelling nice, I completed a manicure while watching some funny youtube videos.
My nails are really looking good. They are not chipping as much. The only thing I am doing differently, is I am more aware of how I use my hands and I have a new clear nail polish.
My nails are getting longer. So I have to clip them down and shape them more.
As I get use to longer nails, I am keeping them slightly longer and I like the compliments I get from women. It makes all the hard work worth it.
Thursday I look forward to getting my face cleared by the electrologist.

Sunday August 2, 2015 - Getting Back To Normal
For the past two weeks, I have been out of my routine. I spent 6 days in CT and about a week in an area hotel while work was done on my house.
We moved back in Friday. Yesterday, I started getting back in my routine.
First I unpacked most of my clothes. I packed my own jewelry and makeup. But the movers packed my clothes and they unpacked Susan's clothes in another room. So it took two hours to get everything back in order.
Then I spent a few hours on me. I took a bubble bath and shaved, followed by a manicure. I did not have a lemon, so I did not do a lemon facial. I will do that today.
Final I hit the gym. I know I have gained weight because I have not exercised in July 18th or 19th. I tried to keep my calories down but with all of the restaurant dinners, I do not know how well I did.
I can not find my scale. I think part of the problem is that I am scared to get on it. I may workout this week and get on the scale August 7th or 8th.
I completed a 15 min warmup followed by a one hour workout. It felt good to get back in the gym. I can still wear my clothes, but they are starting to feel too tight.
I wear tight clothes because I like the way they look and they alert me when I gain even a little weight. I wore a grey and yellow outfit to the gym.
Next Saturday, may youngest daughter invited me to spend the day shopping. So I need to hit the gym hard, so my weight will be down by next Saturday.

Thursday June 25, 2015 - My feminizing Day
Every two weeks, I like to take a 1/2 day or full day working on my feminizing routine. I needed to spend only 1/2 day because I had work to complete this afternoon.
So this morning I took my nice warm bubble bath with Skin-so-soft. During this bath, I did a complete body shave. I decided to watch the 3rd episode of New Girls on the Block while I relaxed and shaved. I love the feel after my bath. I enter the shower to soap up and wash my body to make sure all of the loose hair is gone. I also check to make sure I did not miss an area.
After my shower, I complete my daily morning lotion routine. I love the way I look and feel. Next I move on to my hands. This week, my nails look nice. I bought a better clear polish that is still on my nails from my last manicure. I worked hard to not break my nails and I only lost the nail on my right thumb. My nails are getting a little long, so I decided to remove the remaining nail polish and file my nails down just a little. Also they need a little shaping. This is a before picture of my nails
My pedicure is still acceptable but I will probably get one next week. I can tell my nails are growing and taking the polish with them. But the polish itself has not chipped or cracked.
So I decided to leave my feet and toes alone. Now I did use petroleum jelly to lotion my feet after my shower. But nothing else today.
I decided to do a lemon peel facial and exfoliate. I love the feel of my face after my lemon facial. I take a lemon slice and squeeze the juice out. Then I rubbed the slice over my face until my face is covered with juice and pulp.
I waited a few minutes before I washed my face. It feels so smooth after I wash my face. Then I rubbed liquid Vitamin E on my face.
I am going to put on my nice soft lounge outfit and watch episode four of New Girls on the Block. Then I will get back to work.

Sunday June 14, 2015 - Natural and healthy summer glow
Having that glowing skin is an important female trait. I work hard to have a clean and natural look. Both of my electrologists and the sales lady at Ultra Beauty compliment me on my skin.
They use words like clear, natural, glowing and smooth. Those words make my maintenance routine worth it.
I use natural products based on articles, subreddit group comments and youtube videos.
Today, I want to discuss a new routine I do every two weeks for my face. It works because I can feel how smooth my face feels and it looks great. Also my skin color under my neck is clearing.
Every two weeks, I exfoliate my face using a natural lemon. I take a lemon slice and squeeze the juice out of it. Then I rub the lemon slice over my face many times until my face is wet with lemon juice and pulp.I let it sit on my face about a minute or until I feel it beginning to tingle.
Once it starts tingling, I wipe my face clean. Then I use my homemade lotion to add back that facial glow.
Click this link to find out more about my homemade lotion.
I also completed a full body shave followed by a shower to wash off the hair shavings that stuck to my body. Lotion was added after my shower. I feel so nice and soft today.
It's summertime and having glowing skin is very important. I think using natural products, helps. So I stay away from store bought products that have a lot of preservatives and additives.
I not only monitor what I put inside my body but what I put on the outside, is just as important.

Saturday May 9, 2015 - Some Fem-Time today
Once a week, I try to spend some time working on my feminine body.
This morning, I am going to take a nice warm bubble bath. I use Avon Skin-so-Soft and bubble bath. I will soak and read a fashion magazine or two. Then I do a complete body shaving. I have been doing this for so long that it does not take very long. The Skin-so-Soft will provide the slickness that will allow the shaver to cut the hair stubble without nicks.
Once I get out, I will take a quick shower to make sure all of the hair stubble is off.
Once I am out of the show, I will put on one of my nice soft pink robes and complete my morning lotion routine.
This routine includes:
1) cleaning my face with witch hazel,
2) using Vitamine E and my DIY lotion on my face
3) Vaseline in my feet
4) baby oil on the legs, arms and main body
Next, I will take some time to give myself a manicure. I need one today. I am right handed and all of my right hand nails have broken off. My left hand nails are long and look good. I hate to do this, but I will cut my left hand nails down toward the length of my right hand nails. Yuk! But the difference is too great. I need to keep trying to learn how to use my right hand without breaking the nails so quickly.
My manicure will include buffing my nails, shaping the left hand nails and pushing back my cuticles. Then I am going to add clear nail polish. I recently purchased a new brand of nail polish from CVS. I hope the it will last longer than my last brand which started peeling off within 2 days.
My toes still look great from my pedicure a few week ago, so I will leave my toes alone.
This fun time will last about 2 to 2.5 hours. I will distress, relax and get in touch with my inner self.
I have some computer work to complete, so I will dress in a casual feminine look, which is more feminine than my Femboy look. I am thinking about my open toe wedges and a skirt with a nice blouse and makeup.
Later today, I will go to the gym and watch the Atlanta Hawks game at 5 pm est. I will probably complete 90 to 120 minutes of cardio on the elliptical.

Thursday April 30, 2015 - My Homemade Skincare Lotion
I am into homemade remedies.
I got this hobby from my father's mother. She was born in Texas in 1902 and made the best food from scratch. I remember she use to make soap, toothpaste and medicines.
We, the grand children use to laugh at her because she reminded us of Granny from the Beverly Hillbillies.
When I went to college, in 1974, I tried making some of her soap and medicines. I was not that good at it. The soap made me breakout. I never told her or anyone else about it because that was woman's work.
I use to wish I could sit by her in the kitchen and learn. But I was told to go outside and play.
Over the past six months, I came up with my own skin care lotion. I have talked about using it in the past, but today, I had to make another batch, so I decided to give directions on how I make it.
I make an 8 oz batch of lotion that I use on my face and hands. The picture on the left is what it will look like when I am finished. Because it has a coconut oil based, it is liquid when warm and solid when cold.
I use a small 8 oz plastic bottle with a squeeze top. The bottle will squeeze slightly, but when the lotion is in solid form, it can be very hard to get out. Especially when the bottle is almost empty.
My lotion is made of Coconut Oil, Caster Oil, Olive Oil, Lavender and Tea Tree Oil.
The Coconut Oil and Caster Oil are the main ingredients of the lotion.
The Olive Oil, Lavender and Tea Tree Oil are used in smaller amounts.
I use the following items to make my lotion. I have a measuring cup, a small glass cup for warming the Coconut Oil in the microwave, in case its in a solid state.
I have a funnel to pour the ingredients in the bottle. Finally, I have three measuring utensils: 1 teaspoon (not shown), 1 tablespoon, 1/4 cup and 1/2 cup
The two major ingredients are measured first.
I use 5 tablespoons of Coconut oil. Coconut oil gives your skin a nice smooth feel and assists in hair growth. I use it on my eyebrows and eyelashes to strengthen them and help them grow. If its in a solid state, I put it in the glass cup and microwave it for 40 seconds or until its liquid but warm and hot.
The major problem with Coconut Oil, is the smell. I do not want to spell like Coconut Oil all day.
I pour the warm Coconut Oil in the bottle. Then I add 3 tablespoons of Castor Oil into the bottle. The Castor Oil is good for hair and skin care.
Now, I move to the small ingredients. I add 2 teaspoons of Olive Oil. Olive Oil is good for the skin and appears to have many healing properties. So I decided to add a little in my lotion.
Lavender is used in a small about, 1/2 teaspoon to improve the smell of the lotion and it has been known to have estrogenic properties. I doubt I am taking enough to have much affect, but I decided to add it for both smell and possible transgender properties.
I add 10 drops of Tea Tree Oil for the same reason I added Lavender. Both its smell and estrogenic properties.
Once mixture is complete, I shake it for about 1 minute and then let it sit. It will usually solidify during day. However, in the Hotlanta summers, it will stay in liquid form.
I use this lotion with both my morning and evening body care routine. In my daily routine, I include Vitamin E separately, which is why I did not add it in this lotion.

Sunday March 22, 2015 - Working on my finger nails
Yesterday, I discussed developing a feminine routine to keep your body feeling and looking feminine. These four routines can be done even if you are still in the closet.
I was asked to discuss Nail routine in more detail. I have an earlier post on my body cleaning routine.
My Nails
I like to keep my finger nails clean and well kept. I now get a pedicure every two weeks, so I no longer have a routine for my toe nails.
Below are my tools that I use for my finger nail routine. I go through this routine, at least once a week. I do this while watching TV.
Tools
If I have on nail polish, I remove it with either a paid or a cotton ball with nail polish poured on it.
I keep clear polish on, so I remove it first. I hold the wipe or cotton ball on my polished nail for a few seconds before I wipe the polish off.
This gives the remover a chance to soak in before removing.
After I remove the polish, I soak my fingers in warm soap water for three to five minutes per hand.
I soak one hand and then work on it. Then I soak the other hand.
I use either the wooden or plastic cuticle to push back my cuticles. The cuticle area is the thin layer of skin over the nails at the base. The warm water softens them, which makes them easier to push back.
If I need to, I clip each nail to keep them the same length and shape. I will file the ends later to smooth them.
Use the file to file the top of each nail. Either the four or six sided file has different levels of coarseness. I use the higher coarse level first to smooth out ridges. Then move from most to least coarse side which will make my nail smooth and shiny.
When removing ridges, I do not remove too much nail. Just take your time to remove just enough to smooth out the ridges.
I move from nail to nail until each finger looks like it has clear polish on it. Their will have a nice shine to them.
I f you do not want the shine, then do not use the last (least coarse) file.
File the edges of each nail to get the exact shape on each nail. I file in the same direction across each nail. This will reduce spliting and cracking of the nail. Also tilt your file downward to include a slight area under the nail.
I use the four/six sided file. I use one of the middle coarse sides.
I like this part because I remember my sister and mother doing this when I was growing up. I wanted to join them.
So I get to watch my favorite TV show while filing my nails.
I wash my hands and then put some sea salt scrub on my hands. I rub them together which exfoliates and cleans.
After I wash this scrub off, they feel so smooth. If you have not tried this, you will find the results amazing.
Once the scrub was been completely washed off, I lotion my hands.
My hands will feel so feminine and look great after the lotion has been rubbed in.
Finally, I add two coats of clear polish. At Sally Beauty Supply Store, I did find a non-shiny clear polish. It does work, but it does not last long. I used it as a second coat and it started to peel off after a few days.
So, I use two coats of shiny clear polish or one coat of polish and one coat of hardening polish.
Of course, this is optional, if you do not want that polished look. I have no problem with being polished. Even at my job, its not an issue.
This routine takes awhile to get use to and some time to complete. I try to complete this weekly and even if you are still in the closet, most people will say nothing.
I find that most ladies will admire the look. I find most women like "guys" with clean and nicely manicured hands.
