Thursday July 2, 2015 - Monthly weight in

June 2015 is over. So its time to summarize my weight control for the past month.

My last weight-in, for June was Tuesday morning June 30, 2015. My weight was 173.4 lbs. This 1.8 pounds heavier than the end of May 2015.

My goal in January 2015 was to try to lose about 0.50 pound per month for a total of 6 pounds in 2015. That changed in May as I realized with my daughter, her husband and two kids in the house until May 2016, just maintaining will have to be the goal.

It's the same problem as last month, too much junk food in the house. I am doing better at not eating it, but its still a struggle.

Including July 1, 2015,  I currently weight 172.6.  I started on January 1, 2015 at 170.2 lbs. So I have gained 2.4 lbs in six months. Based on my goal of losing a 0.5 lbs per month, I should have lost 3.0 lbs or I should weight 167.2 lbs. I am 5.4 pounds off my original goal. However, based on my new goal, I am only 2.4 lbs. I have got to figure something out.

I did exercise 11 times in June which was less than in May (17 times). But I have decided to exercise longer. Starting last week, I exercise 3 to 4 days a week. Tuesday and Thursday, I complete at least 135 minutes of cardio. On the weekend, I complete 75 minutes of cardio.

Also, I am going back to more salads and much more water. I think part of my problem is that I am not drinking enough water. The water helps convert the fat into energy.

I am looking forward to seeing how my new exercise routine and eating menu will effect my weight next month. During July, I am going to drink more water and follow the longer workout routine.
